Aside from just counter, these gloves have the most evasion you'll find in a hand slot. Add to that more defense than even the paladin's Gem Gauntlets (Adaman Gauntlets +1) and you've got one nice pair of tekko.
This is a really nice piece, most notably for the fact that the "Counter"+1 effect is permanent, unlike the NQ version whichs ha it as a latent effect triggered by "tentatively reported as needing to have HP in the red, and possibly TP at less than 100%."(FFXIClopedia)
Best hand's for Utsusemi:Ni casting on MNK unless you have Usukane Gote. I would fair to say they a probably 2nd best on all 3 jobs for Ichi Casting as well.
