Baught this and paired it with nobby ring to reel in gigant squid, and it helps ALOT, back then i used to get a squid like maybee 1/12tries, but now im getting them 1/4-1/5 tries, My best so far is 4squid in a row
From my experience with this ring, it will not help you hook more big fish.
It will however reduce the line snaps and rod breaks by a large margin. If you're fishing for those legendaries and you can manage to drain your fish with just 1 of penguin/albatross/seagull ring, you will want to have this baby equipped.
