Random Politics & Religion #00
Wait a minute if the topic is random how do we know what the topic is ?
New topic. Hillary Clinton is the greatest woman to ever live and those that question her are sexist. If she can be a mother she should definitely be a President. Because being a mother is the hardest job in the planet. Asura.Kingnobody said: » Leviathan.Chaosx said: » fonewear said: » What change of rules ? No fun allowed ? Instead of sending them to jail. With that said, here's a detailed list of what you can and cannot say to other people: - Do not insult other people Belittling other people for their intellectual taste in their opinion is insulting them. Therefore calling someone stupid, an idiot, dumb, etc; is insulting no matter the structure of the sentence. - Do not post to incite a negative reaction purposely This is for you people who have an insatiable urge to funk a thread up for your own amusement. Stop it! You will be removed. - Debates Debates are allowed, contrary to belief. However, there is a fine line in debating and insulting as we all know and the need to be 'correct'. Please debate the content given and not the person who has given it. Calling the content stupid, idiotic, dumb, etc; by no means is insulting a person but their idea/opinions which is allowed. - Off-topic posts These will be deleted on sight. Users will be warned and then topicbanned if any further offtopic ways continue. - Reporting If you find a post that is very much against the rules, report it and pick the best reason why you are reporting it. Do not contact the admin as they do not perform forum duties that the mods are suppose to handle. So please do not contact Scragg or any other red bars for anything related to the forums and it's users. Bolded are the rules that will be abused frequently. Let's see: 1. I've never called anyone names, I intentionally do not resort to that level. Nor do I tell someone to shut up, etc. I consider that in the same realm. 2. If sarcasm counts, we're all boned, lol. 3. I don't debate, I question and play devil's advocate. So does not affect me. Only time I've questioned the person giving the content is when I've seen them with a history of doing so with other people's content. So that's a catch-22 there. That one might get us all. 4. Off topic is like the only thing people do. Don't know why that's such a hardcore rule that must be enforced, but whatever, I'm usually the one going back on topic, lol. 5. I don't tattle. I was taught that at a very early age. That must be like a millennial generation thing to run off to the 'authorities' ASAP when your feelings get hurt. So good luck everyone! :D SC unanimously rejects Obama's Recess appointments. Perhaps liberals are finally standing up to fight back?

I see this as a good thing IF the Senate isn't abusing pro forma sessions as a way to delay or obstruct appointments. A lot of the constitutional powers afforded to different government officials have been abused in the last decade or so simply by virtue of no longer being relevant to their original purpose. PoTUS should not be even viewed as the leader of the country, it undermines the purpose of our republic. A president has 3 jobs: dutifully enforce laws passed by congress, commander-in-chief of the armed forces, and be a check of the other 2 branches. The days of the celebrity president started within 50 years of its origin and needs to stop. Odin.Jassik said: » Ragnarok.Nausi said: » SC unanimously rejects Obama's Recess appointments. I mean, as much power as the PotUS has and what is assumed he has, it's still very limited, and can be circumvented. Anything goes wrong, President's fault. Anything good happens, result of congress working together. International debacle? President's fault. Provides foreign aid to countries that are in dire need of it? The result of the good will of the American people, as paid for by Congress. Spill your cheeeto's on the floor, or get lambasted for saying and doing anything considered HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE (which prevents or hinders the progress of one's self, or another by way of speech, action, or thought)in a private arena of the citizenry, and it's the president's fault. A little highbrow, but I lol'd.

Ragnarok.Nausi said: » Liberal president is the worst leader since I've been alive and the response from liberals becomes "well the president isn't supposed to leader anyways"? Secondly Bush was, by far and large, the worst president in recent history. Obama has his faults, that are worth scrutiny, but the worst? What rock have you been living under? Any "liberal" president is "the worst" thing to a conservative, particularly those who are often ill-informed, spew regurgitated fear-mongering talking points, and other *** that is severely debunked by facts backed by evidence. But I digress. When the Republic of America was established, the Presidency has always been that of a figure-head. People will look to prominent figure heads as leaders. The presidency is there for checks and balances as stated by Jassik. The position is also required to have a staff that advises him, and watches over his actions. There are few things, in comparison to Congress, hell, even the Vice-President, that the President has power over. A Canadian teaching Americans about America that is rich.
Please continue. Oh yea Stephen Harper is the worst Prime Minister of all time ! Odin.Jassik said: » A little highbrow, but I lol'd. There are few things, in comparison to Congress, hell, even the Vice-President, that the President has power over. The presidency is an opportunity above everything else. To the extent that it is used as a position for leadership it is done so by the individual in office. There have been great leaders that have taken on the role and there have been those who have shied away from it. Either way, the office is home to the most powerful individual in the world. If that individual isn't a leader, I'm not sure who can be. fonewear said: » A Canadian teaching Americans about America that is rich. Please continue. He brought so much hope and change that to reproach him would be borderline treason. That is something we talk about reforming all the time but never do. fonewear said: » As far as something political the very little coverage of thousands of illegal immigrants always amazes me here. That is something we talk about reforming all the time but never do. |
