Dasva's Hoover skills raised 0.5 Dasva's Hoover Suck levels reaches Level 20 Dasva learns "Mega Suck" I have used both FF and IE, Since 3.0 came out FF has went down the drain for me. I took it off my Gaming Pc all together but my laptop and 1 pc @ work still uses FF to see if it has gotten any better.
To make a long story short:I have 7 PCs between work and home. 1 Vista FF PC and 2 XP FF PCs, the rest uses IE8. Out of 6 PCs(3 Vista, 4Xp) the only FF installed PC that works worth a damn is the Vista PC that it was just installed on. Both XP FF PCs have major issuses with performance. The 2 IE8 XP Pcs run fine and have yet to have a problems with spyware or anything I have to clean off. All but one PCs had FF on it to start with, now I'm slowly winging them from it(I have an older guy that loves FF no matter what so I have to keep it on his PC) My PC @ home has always used IE and not once have I had a security issuse. I was a big fan of FF before all these problems, but now I enjoy IE8 and untill something happens that changes my mind I will stick with IE. I've tried Chrome, but I just missed the nice plugins FF has. Gmail checker, ADBlock, No Script and some other that rips video from websites are the best thing for me.
IE was nice, but I got sick of popups even when popup blocker was on. FF only works great with AdBlock Plus and NoScript... thats it!

just get google chrome and use both. i still use firefox to stumbleupon and for all the good plug-ins but google is fastest for browsing i believe.
I dont wanna see the ads or have hidden scripts run on my computer without me knowing it.
True, but those things will never be incorporated into the browsers themselves.
If Chrome comes out with some plugins like the ones I use then I'll move back to it. I use the chrome beta, It's got adblock and scriptblock.
google is really cleaning up, huh. Ramuh.Lilbusta said: True, but those things will never be incorporated into the browsers themselves. I'm personally not a heavy add on user Same here, I mean I use the handy ones, flash block, adblock, scriptblock and that's it really.
I'd like to see a greasemonkey be released though. AdBlock Plus and NoScript are all thats needed for FF, anything else is either a luxury or unneeded.

You should know chrome can use most if not all of greasemonkey scripts natively Siren.Eagleeyes said: Shiva.Flionheart said: Same here, I mean I use the handy ones, flash block, adblock, scriptblock and that's it really. You should know chrome can use most if not all of greasemonkey scripts natively I had an awesome ... 4chan one before for multi voting in twitter, to make pedobear miley cyrus' number one fan. I'd like to change that about, and work with it. Multiple form submission must have some useful and funny uses. so basically, from what I gather, greasemonkey lets you actually customize the way webpages look?
Ifrit.Kungfuhustle said: so basically, from what I gather, greasemonkey lets you actually customize the way webpages look? greasemonkey is a extension for firefox that enabled you to use userscripts. I know its an extension for FF, but does it let you use scripts to change the way web pages look? Once Greasemonkey is installed you navigate userscripts.org and the giant green "Install" button brings up Greasemonkey prompts to install it. Then as long as the little monkey icon in the status bar isn't dimmed out the scripts are active.
Greasemonkey is generally more for changing functionality as well as appearance, whereas the Stylish extension usually deals with layouts and aesthetics. You can browse and install new styles from this site: http://userstyles.org/ thanks Caiyuo
Have any of you IE haters even tried it in the last 3 years let alone since 8 came out?
Ramuh.Dasva said: Have any of you IE haters even tried it in the last 3 years let alone since 8 came out? Yup, it still crashes on my Gmail, on a new install of windows 7. Also lack of developer support. there goes Dasva and his sucking power again!
and to answer your question, I have used IE8, and I R not impressed. |
