Tactician's is mosly useless for marched/hasted DDs and I don't prefer to leave town without BRD+COR in both DD parties. The only other option is Fighter's and 4-roll rotation makes my skin crawl >:| Did some testing with Corsair's Tricorne vs. Pandinus Beret for Quick Draw and found Pandinus to out damage the Tricorne until you hit ~80 matk. I've read several times in this post that the +1 Tricorne does +10 base damage up from 5 on the NQ but cant find any information to support this. http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Corsair%27s_Tricorne_%2B1 here it states that it's unchanged from NQ. Just curious if anyone can direct me to something supporting that its a damage increase or confirm there own testing on it, thanks.
Sorry if this has already been asked but is the atmacite of the slayer lvl 1 really + 15 fire attack or is that a mistype, don't want to start putting crour into it if it gets worse before it gets better.

Pandidus came out on top vs. AF+1 Tricorne (sadface), but Blood Mask with QD -2 or more comes out ahead of that, even, assuming you're using it on the timer. Yes, when there's fire weather/day/storm, obi is the best choice(and you should always have firestorm on, so..)

I personally love requiescat D: and dislike shooting expensive bullets, was on qilin just now and my ws set can still use a good bit of improvement cor/war with sanus Ew.
Just cause the other cor was doing terrible damage it doesn't mean going melee with Requies is better :/ you can pump way higher numbers with WF and LS using proper sets. Even your fire shots are very low, overall you lose a lot of damage in favour of lazyness and cheapness. Not recommended. Played correctly it mgiht not be the worst strategy ever conceived, but I wouldn't do it personally over appropriate ranged attacking.
Edit: Could come down to your merit ws choices too. If you're on Corsair for your group's benefit, on a mob that Wildfire is weak, and don't have Last Stand because you prioritize other jobs/weaponskills, it could potentially be your best option. It'd certainly be better than rolling and going afk the way some corsairs seem to do. I wasnt using asetics drinks and I've just got some new qd gear I didnt add to spellcast yet so half the slots werent even switching, I should have done 1 fight shooting and wfing but I've never been too impressed with LS on cor in vw.. only seems to do well for me in dynamis, acc is not too good in vw even with potaufeus and stalwarts
wf is very good and thats what I usually do, but meleeing on cor can still be pretty competitive imo with very good gear (thaumas) edit: I've merited and demerited last stand like 3 times now vs exenterator and requiescat.. gonna end up dropping it for good soon for entropy and keep entro/shoha/requiscat Do you not have a ranged TP set or something?
Last Stand is very good on some specific mobs. Qillin is one of them.
Most situations where Wildfire is weak, Last Stand is worth using, and the inverse generally holds true as well. Quote: acc is not too good in vw even with potaufeus and stalwarts I've never found this to be a problem on anything where melee'ing would become a better option. Especially with a sword. Well, my average Wildfire is 2800, on Qilin my average Last Stand is 3800, and that's without using curry either.
Same goes for outside VW, did ADL the other night and decided to use LS instead of WF, damage went up by almost 2k, and I was subbing sam then! Only time I would debate avoiding Last Stand would be on Legion cause it's kinda dangerous, but still the difference in damage is rather big. I'm pretty terrible for thinking this way, but with very few exceptions (Fjalar), the difference between Last Stand and Wildfire isn't enough to make me want to shoot Orichalcum Bullets.
Then again, I'm high maintenance, so I nearly always have Boost-AGI, Firestorm, and Double AGI etudes so my wildfires pack quite a punch :| I use it so infrequently that I'm considering demeriting it so that my Mjollnir will have Realmrazer with which to play. Last Stand tears the face off things in Dyna-Xarc, ADL included, way more than Wildfire. I use Wildfire on Invincibling paladins and that's about it. Wildfire sucks in Dyna-Xarc, then again, I've only been in Dyna-Xarc on COR twice.

Then again, I have virtually no reason to do ever do any VWNNM below Jeuno T4 again, so that may bias my opinion on the usefulness of Last Stand. yeah wildfire in dynamis is straight up ***compared to buffless requiescat even, and getting buffs I'll do 2k easy spikes higher
the way my group does adl I get no buffs besides the 2 rolls I put on the dd party and sometimes I'll embrava myself, so I have done a few good ls on it but generally any time I get near adl I get raped so I'll do maybe 1 ls per fight... I assist on all the other stuff though nq dl/nms/farming pops and I feel like meleeing is 110% more effective than trying to shoot for tp on mobs real dds are smashing in 10 seconds Sure shooting on fodder mobs is absolutely useless. After we kill ADL I end up just rolling and stand there looking pretty while others farm.
