The issue is, the SEA region cannot be played unless you live in Asia. However, you can use VPN to bridge you in.
SEA version is pointless and dying. The population is small, the game is horribly behind on updates, and the translations are wrong and bad in many cases.
If you want to play PSO2, just play on the JP servers. The english patch translates everything to English, there's a server all the English players go to (Ship 2), and the game has all the updates. Despite being an action game, there is no noticeable lag at all playing from somewhere like the US. Ah, the JP version still accept English players? Haven't played it for a few years. Got rather deep in, but I was cheap and didn't want to subscribe.

Yeah, it's still going just fine. There have been a couple cases of them being unhappy about English players doing bad stuff, but that has long past. Basically, it's fine to play as long as you're not stupid and rude to the Japanese playerbase/disruptive. There are some obnoxious English players that are very disrespectful, but everyone avoids them.

Is this game fun? Or should I stick to Tera if I want something free this summer?
Valefor.Sehachan said: » Is this game fun? Or should I stick to Tera if I want something free this summer? I don't know if you even can anymore with proxy junk or if the people fan-translating it have been keeping up to date with it. I gave this game a try earlier this year.
had to go trough a weird process to get the game patched and updated to "some" engrish. Game is fun, character creation has a decent selection of options, while actual tweaking details is very deep. That said, most of the fancy good looking items are behind a cash wall (in japanese) or player shops for lots of Money. Gameplay is simple yet engaging, and varies by class, you have your melees, casters, and ranged, each with 3~4 classes, take quests on the main ship via Quest giver or NPCs and just warp to the area tasked and do your stuff, which in most cases involve killing stuff. Can change class at a management NPC too, if you dont like the current one. my main issue with the game tho, is the fact that not everything is translated. no idea what was going on most of the time, and while I could identify some items via stats and icons, non equipables became an issue. I liked playing this game with a controller, much like older PSO's I keep hoping to see this game in NA, even tho I kinda know inside me this wont happen. btw stay clear of the ASIA version, a LOT of the basic stuff is behind a paywall. Quote: I don't know if you even can anymore with proxy junk I would have loved an offline/lan version.
