In case you didn't know this is the reference:
YouTube Video Placeholder This whole meeting could be over in 30 seconds. If I were questioning him:
Me: "Mr. Comey, do you have anything to say on the matter that is actually meaningful?" Comey: "That I can comment on? No." Me: "Good chat. It's lunch time, everyone! Who's catering?" Offline

The best part is that CNN is covering this live. Even if an asteroid hit the Earth they wouldn't switch coverage.
Comey confirms that the whole trump/Russia investigation isn't based on any evidence whatsoever, just someone's hunch (partisan feels).
You know, the funny part here is that once this investigation is complete, I wouldn't be surprised if there were more nefarious Russian ties to democras that trump.
I mean let's not forget that comey needs to seek permission from the (trump) justice department in order to actually appear before congress in a session like today. Probably some 4D chess going on below everyone's nose. Bahamut.Ravael said: » So far this hearing is a whole lot of nothing. They're saying stuff we already knew, and not commenting on the rest. That's the way most committee hearings in DC go. Libs have invested so much into this nothing-burger, and there is zero out there to support it. Their based is going to eat them alive when reality eventually comes knocking.
How long can they string this out you think? Candlejack said: » Ragnarok.Nausi said: » Libs have invested so much into this nothing-burger, and there is zero out there to support it. The very fact there's nothing supporting Rump's wiretap claims means now Rump's on the chopping block for impeachment, and, God willing, Obama will be smart enough to sue Rump for libel at the same time. For the love of everything good and holy.... Trump will not be impeached for every little thing he says and does wrong. Your pipe dream needs to die. EIGHT! If they don't have anything by now, they don't have anything. Get your pitchforks ready man. Comey is eventually gonna throw cold water on this thing just like he did to all us with the Hillary investigation. Great big nothingburger. Except for Hillary she ACTUALLY broke the law!
Holy ***guys. What's gonna happen if he comes out and says, "yeah he did it, but not prosecuted in his right mind would prosecute this."? Hahahahahahahahah! Um, he never said he doesn't have anything. He can't talk about what they have or don't have, but he clearly stated 8 months is very little time for an intelligence investigation. So, we know that Russia did not tamper with the actual votes. We know that Russia frequently meddles to a lesser degree in elections (as do we), and will in probably meddle in every one going forward. We know all "evidence" thus far in terms of collusion is circumstantial at best. With all that known, there is a great insistence that this continue to be investigated to the fullest degree.
We also know that there were criminal leaks coming from the government in recent months. These are federal crimes and there are a limited number of people who could have had access to the leaked information. Among other things, this has serious implications for national security. With all that known... pretty much nobody seems to care. Priorities! Bahamut.Ravael said: » So, we know that Russia did not tamper with the actual votes. Much like this attempt to focus on the leaking and not what was contained in the leaks that led to the resignation of a National Security Advisor and the head of the Justice Department having to recuse themselves from being involved in the investigation regarding the Trump Campaign and Russia... totally nothing to see with those types of reactions. In both cases, the leaks revealed nothing illegal. Sooooo.... Bahamut.Ravael said: » Leaks of this frequency are at an unprecedented level. YouTube Video Placeholder Leaks aren't really at an unprecedented level... it's just that trump gets a lot more press and the way he approaches it is a lot louder than anyone else... obama had issues dealing with leaks as well and was pretty harsh about how he went about clamping down on it...
It's laughable to imply that tampering with elections isn't worth looking into or isn't a big deal etc. just because you may think everyone, including the USA meddles in other people's elections... meddling in our elections is a big deal and it should be investigated but the conclusions should also be left until that investigation is over... public pressure though and exposure is a good thing in that they don't just get swept under the rug and hopefully get an answer at some point... |
