Turning off One-Click Search Drop Box in Firefox: For those like me who get overly annoyed by clutter and sudden drastic change in their browser and hate the new, sometimes buggy, One-Click Search dropbox under their search bar, try this.
Type "about:config" in the address bar. A warning will come up about voiding your warranty, this is an inside-joke from the developers as well as a warning on the weight of your actions within this interface. Ignore this and enter. Look on the list till you find "Browser.Search.ShowOneOffButtons" which will be set to "true" by default, right click and set this to "false" and restart Firefox, the drop box should now be removed. Only issue with that is if they disable that from working like setting tabsontop to false stopped, I switched to palemoon after.

Are you going to cover Mercury?
Are there any new updates to this?
If he doesn't cover Mercury, I might die a little inside.
firefox is updated but looking to find out if there is a 36.2 if there is i will add it to the list. if someone has it please post it.
there was a big firefox update the options menu is changed all of it. Every thing seems to be about the same where it is but it looks so much harder to use but smoother i love the look thought.

the topic will be fully updated notes and download links this weekend.
Update Google has dropped support on Linux 32 bit and are started to stop supporting it as this month you may get the updates sitting there on your apt-get update or what you use to get the update but it wont apply. if you do not want to use google after this month as it wont get updates run sudo apt-get purge google-chrome-stable. (this may not be the same on your Linux system as it is for me.) then also look for the google upload tool and purge that as well. Now google is fully removed. You may want to also run sudo apt-get autoremove to get any left over files. again may not be the same command on your Linux if your not running Ubuntu or mint it may not be the same.
