They most likely did that in order to make the fight last more than one episode.

I can't wait to see how the rematch goes between them in the King of Everything's tournament.

Assuming we get said rematch and some other unknown guy doesn't beat Hit first.

Eh, there was less one-upping for sure, but the bs was about the same imo.
SSG was supposed to be a one-time form that Goku didn't need anyway because he absorbed it's power, but now it's a normal transformation, and SSB suddenly has a huge stamina drain that wasn't mentioned before because reasons.
At least this means we might get to see SSG Vegeta at some point, so I'm cool with it.
