Preface: This isnt some 'lets rip on trans people' post. so put your pitchforks away. This is about the insanity of california and their march off the cliff of progressivism. this is something that should NEVER have been done, and was aparently done to more than one child. *** off if that's your goal.

People jokingly said "they're not literally just going to start shooting problematic boys up with estrogen". Any sane person would agree, that a sane government, and sane system would not do this, or EVER allow this to happen. Nobody in their right minds would EVER do this. i firmly believed this.

i was apparently wrong.

i pray to god this was incompetence, and not some nutjob shooting up juvie kids with estrogen out of some misguided ideological move. there is no logical reason to have ever done this. he literally FORCED a teenage boy to grow breasts.

i talked to a friend about this, who works specifically as a psychiatrist, and his immediate reaction was: 'you're lying. no sane doctor would ever prescribe estrogen for ADHD/ODD in a child'. he was literally in complete and total disbelief when i showed him this article this morning.

so my questions become -

1. Was this a one off situation?
2. Was this more widespread and this is just the first we've heard about it?
3. Why did the doctor do this?
4. Was it ideologically motivated?
5. Was this done to more boys kept in the juvinile detention centers?
6. was this done anywhere else other than LA?

From what i'm reading, other news sources are reporting that this was potentially a standard procedure within the LA juvenile system. if that is true... what in the absolute ***has happened? if this was approved by any level of the government of california - WHY?

This isnt about trans people at any level. people have every right to do to their own body whatever they want, and i will never waver from that stance - but this is about a child forced to effectively undergo transition therapy as a treatment for being a rowdy child.

It's not that the liberals have a super-*** for LTGBBQ community, I feel that they just want to be treated equally to us normals.

And personally, I interact with several gay and lesbian people, who are openly gay/lesbian. Good for them for making their choices in life. I support them fully.

I'm not the type of person who will demand that they change. Nor do I think many "bible-thumpers" do either, which is the preconceived notion that liberals and the left have.

But the liberal/left mindset of absolutionism (aka you are with me, or you are against me sith.meme) is what turns off many of us normals from openly supporting the LTGBBQ community.

This in a nutshell for me. I've never (personally) met a single person, no matter their religious/political stance that has openly in front of me made any comment or action that would lead me to believe they "hated" anyone from the LGBT community or felt they should be treated in any way different than anyone else when it comes to housing/careers/simply being nice. But also, I'm not going to be forced to acknowledge someone's imaginary friend just because social media has suddenly said you must, or you are being cruel. There is a world of difference.

And as insane as this is, our media will ignore it and we won't hear a thing about it in a week. Maybe less. But if any red state forced (in a similar situation) testosterone on teen patients to make them more "manly," our country would grind to a halt and add a couple weeks to the riot season.

I have never met open LBGTQ+ bigots personally but I have had them shout out of truck windows at me.

Same here. Oddly enough, the most homophobic slurs I'd ever heard from someone came from a gay guy I knew in high school. He hated effeminate gay dudes and was quite vocal about it. I recently found out that same guy just got out of prison after being Chris Hansened by undercover cops for preying on underage teens. Seems kinda weird that someone who liked manly men would go after kids, but I'd rather not think too hard about the logic in that.

Specifically the tendency to break everything down into ever smaller compartments based in immutable traits, then assign value to those compartments. The current narrative in education and rehabilitation institutions is that males and females are the same and all differences are societal, thus they sees boys as dysfunctional girls.

the TL/DR of the video

1. Kid went to juvie
2. kid was diagnosed with "oppositional defiant disorder" which is *** shrink code for "a teenage boy"
3. Doctor put him onto an estrogen regimen, despite no medical basis for EVER putting a developing young man on estrogen for a behavioral disorder.
4. allegedly nurse told the kid it was just to treat a lump on his skin
5. Kid refused to take the medicine at first
6. allegedly Guard told him if he refused it would reflect badly on his hearing which was still pending adjudication, and that he could potentially be stuck in juvie until he became an adult if he didnt cooperate. (which this is true that they do this kind of thing in juvie)
7. Kids dad went to see him and sees what they did
8. Kid had grown breasts from the estrogen therapy
9. Dad confronted head doctor, doctor allegedly said it was a mistake on the part of the other doctor
10. kid alleges that its being done to other kids as well, that several other boys he met were also being given estrogen


Things that have been confirmed

1. It is a biologically male child
2. it is not a child desiring any form of transitioning.
3. it was not a child currently undergoing any kind of transition therapy.
4. the parents were never informed or provided any degree of consent before this treatment was administered.

the kid literally needs breast removal surgery now, because he has female breasts that have developed. The doctor had him on 2mg of estrogen. for reference a very AGGRESIVE estrogen regimine is 10mg for someone intending to transition 2-4 mg is the standard dosage for someone transitioning.

There is almost no doubt that this was done with the intent to medically transition this boy to female against his hill.

Why would they randomly choose you in particular to shout at? Yes, I'm currently now painting a picture of you in my mind...
