I still dont care for the voice over work...probably just play the game in Japanese.
Wat, they are really good. JP voices are like demented chipmunks, I don't know who would stand to play games or watch anime in Japanese.

I think the actual voices sound good (most, I'm not too fond of Heidegger so far). My only issue is with the over-dramatic dialogue that would sound out of place in a real conversation. It's a fairly common thing in the genre, so it's not a deal-breaker for me by any stretch. I just hope that the majority of the game is a little more toned down so that the characters don't always sound like caricatures/stereotypes of themselves.
I just think they are over acting and the lines are cheesy as hell.

I like things in Japanese becayse then I don't cringe at hearing corny dialogue aloud in a language I understand. It's a lot easier to read cheesy stuff than it is to be able to listen to it without wanting to barf

The best part about remakes is the original still exists.
Also, to anyone complaining about any delays, it's not like it hasn't been rumored about for more than a decade. I recall people thinking Advent Children was going to be the remake.

Aerith, Tifa, Yuffie, Jessie, Elena, Scarlet, Marlene (the. worst.), Jenova, Lucrecia, Ilfana, Elmyra, Priscilla, Ester, Cloud in drag, or... I can't think of any more named "female" characters off of the top of my head.

I'm glad I held off on pre-ordering, I've never seen Carby look that silly.

At least the cactuar looks normal. I don’t know how well the chocobo and... dogbuncle... will be received in Japan, but if the backlash is strong enough there is time to fix it. It worked for Sonic!
