So apparently SE is giving players the ability to create our own events for people in ffxi to participate in. You can run 'em on any day but tuesday.

What is this? It's badly worded and very vague. I don't get the whole "Adding moogles to your event part". What?
I feel like this woulda been a great idea back in the early days, around ToAU era maybe. Community’s are so much more spread out now a days and this probably won’t be used to its fullest extent. Which is a shame cause it could be fun.

It was added back in like 2009, it just used to have less moogles. IIRC, they were just used as NPCs that spat out whatever text you gave them. Remember doing one of these "events" back then and it was really just to better facilitate people who wanted to do a hide and seek or scavenger hunt or something.

My player event is talking about FFXI on FFXIAH join me !
On Asura the player event will be:
REMA scavenger hunt...find all the players that glow blue...then run around in a circle screaming ELITE !

Aye just noticed that. It was a moogle change for events.
I always liked player event stuff, firework parties and just social gatherings as a shell or large group but have not done anything like that in a looooong time.
Yeah, I feel like this will just fade into another forgotten mechanic like Monstrosity or Brenner.
