The error reported by some Windower 4.x users wherein selection of a profile leads to an application crash (or simply exiting without opening POL) will soon return if Microsoft does not reverse the changes made to the .NET Framework in the current pre-release build. (Yes, I know I'm suicidal for being in the Windows Insider Program.)

You may see the details of the update here. Knowing Microsoft, I doubt the issue will be resolved when the patch is deployed to the general public, in which case many more people will soon be experiencing this issue.

The error from Windower 4.3 with hook 4.3.2.1 entails the following entry in the event log:
Code
Faulting application name: Windower.exe, version: 4.3.6349.31918, time stamp: 0x5920b89d
Faulting module name: KERNELBASE.dll, version: 10.0.16251.0, time stamp: 0x92105574
Exception code: 0xe0434352
Fault offset: 0x000ffa82
Faulting process id: 0x1b8c
Faulting application start time: 0x01d30b6de394f924
Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Windower4\Windower.exe
Faulting module path: C:\WINDOWS\System32\KERNELBASE.dll
Report Id: b9af17dd-3b6d-4bb6-af51-5a0c08ee3c1f
Faulting package full name:
Faulting package-relative application ID:

Some Googling has shown me that this error is not new. Other people have had it in the past. My assumption is that Microsoft messed with the .NET Framework in this version of Windows and that is causing the issue.

Oh, and when POL is launched WITHOUT Windower, everything works just fine.
