Draylo knows about bst switching into damage taken gear. He has seen it himself. All of us had -50% pdt fighting *dullan* and he does his nonahito (sp) thing. To see why BST is fine as is, all you need to do is compare it to a melee job, any will do.

Damage Dealt
BST: Varies from 15% lead to over 150% lead.

Flexibility of damage dealt
BST: Can do all damage types, several different elemental magic damage types
DD: Some can do all damage types. DRK can do weak elemental damage, but not even 50% as much as BST

Hate MAnagement
BST: Never has hate problems. Can infinitely dump hate on pet, if pet has hate issues can be resummoned.
DD: Some have some hate management abilities.

Durability
BST: Access ot 50% PDT/MDT. Ability to avoid all damage besides circular aoes by having it focused on pet. Can heal pet near-infinitely with dawn mulsums.
DD: Access to 50% PDT/MDT. Can use meds the same as BST.

Attack Distance
DD: 3'. 4' when WSing. 0 Damage dealt while outside this radius.
BST: Has to be within 8' of mob for 1 second every 10s for maximum damage. Will still contribute white damage while standing outside. Will outdamage melee while outside aoe range 70% of the time.

Let's be real, BST is still clearly overpowered. If anything, it needs another nerf.
