*** my life. :( I was really hoping he was just asking for a senate replacement seat while he was under-going treatment and would somehow recover over time, even if not returning to his seat. His sister and now him in the same month, I feel so *** bad for the Kennedys and Massachusetts.

I'm pretty sure this wooooshed half the forum.
I've never cared for Ted Kennedy. His most recent flip flopping of his own law he made for replacing his senate seat is a long list of things I dislike.
But Alas. This will be on the news all tomorrow long the President will say something even though he is on vacation, and the repubs will say how great he was and how much they liked him.

You think so? I thought Ted was pretty notorious since he's like the last notable and relevant Kennedy.

Politics aside it's just really sad given the family practically being *** cursed. I think your last statement is exactly on the dot, though. Politics are really horribly predictable now.

I think what Ludoggy was trying to point out is; not every one is American and the rest of the world really don't really know (or care) about the detailed make up for the US politics.

Who is in charge, and a little bit about what they are planning is enough for us.

But I have loved seeing some of the stupid *** comments about the public healthcare debate.

I took it more as american FFXI players as generally being young adults that are unaware of their political atmosphere. Either way the woosh is probably accurate.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3032608/ - Old interview of Ted Kennedy on Meet the Press with Tim Russert on the front page atm; miss him too. D:

He dedicated his life to increasing the power and scope of the American governent over its citizens. I would never be glad at anyone's passing, but I will not miss his politics one bit.

Good job Ted & Co with the the budget deficit and runaway spending.

Piss off Roark, you have no idea what you are talking about, our major budget deficit is because of rep's war on terror and drugs over the past 20 some odd years, this man dedicated his life trying to insure that all American's had certain freedom's and rights. Did you vote when you were between 18-21? Thank him he gave you that right.

As little as I like politics, I have respect for him. Especially as the last Kennedy brother.

And for the record, BOTH sides (dem and rep) are talking about how good of a person he was.

Mary Jo Kopechne (July 26, 1940 – July 18, 1969) was an American teacher, secretary and political campaign specialist who died in a car accident on Chappaquiddick Island on Martha's Vineyard while being driven by DRUNKEN United States Senator Ted Kennedy. Kennedy was never charged and never paid for his crime - until this morning."

I swear to *** god some people find a way to ***on every thing imaginable. Where did you get your details from? A *** *** email subscription that reports all these things as facts because it's convenient to smear him? I can only imagine a religious-right "grassroots" organization is spreading that around this morning given all the #obamacare hashtags and the coordinated movement of "Mary Jo Kopechne could not be reached for comment." I'm so totally *** sure every *** who didn't like Kennedy pulled this random story out of their *** all at once in holy congress for the purpose of smearing someone that served 40+ years of his life in public service. Elected, that is. Blame Massachusetts?

As far as the actual story is concerned, yes it's something to show concern over and question the details of since no one will really know, but using it as a convenient smear-tactic for a dead senator throws any credibility out of the window. This is exactly why no one takes any other claims by crazy *** seriously. (muslim sleeper cell president or anti-christ, whichever serves your own means best) You give no space for error or fault. No, these are surely facts that you totally researched yourself and came to this conclusion on your own, not influenced by anyone. Show respect for a dead woman by not using her as a martyr to smear someone for political and social gain.
Quote:
We expected a right-wing smear campaign against the late Ted Kennedy, but who knew the Republican attack machine could out-Twitter its progressive rivals? The late Ted Kennedy was enjoying a ride at the top of Twitter's trending topics earlier today — following what we feel ought to be called the #MJbump — but even this morning it became clear that a backlash was brewing, even in 140-characters-or-less land. That's now become something of an orchestrated movement, as ghoulishly insensitive right-wingers bumped Ted out of the top spot. Well, one ghoulishly-insensitive right-winger, actually. It was Rush Limbaugh, and he helped move…
Rush Limbaugh was behind this? *** shockerrrrr.

Roark Do you have any idea how much money we've spent on the war on drugs since it's started? the federal government spends $17 billion per year fighting drugs, at this point the feds have spent $13,137,720,065, all the states combined has spent $20,166,400,301 this year. just this year, we've been doing this for the past 25 years.

That isnt exactly something good to label on the Right seeing how some on the Left like the Clinton's support it.

Agreed.

Okay the man's dead, dying sucks, we all do it. We can discuss how bad/good he was, what he did/didn't do or how much we love/hate the man but the bottom line is no matter how much hot air we spew out it isn't going to change a damned thing that's going on right now.

Personally screw him, didn't like him much any way. Secondly no I don't vote and YES that gives me the right to *** when people who do vote, vote morons in to office or say "yes, lets do away with something good even thought it might cost us some money over the long run" (ie school programs like music.) Supposedly the argument is "You didn't vote, you can't complain because you didn't vote for the guy who would have done better." ,and to that I say "meh" because voting is crap and I'm willing to bet that our votes really don't count. Now a days elections are a televised event not unlike what a WWE event is like. Suspense, arguments, drama the whole nine.

What was my point? Crap... forgot... ummm, bomb that guy.

No not an angry person you suck. Ted helped a lot of people. an example is this I know families in mass who were having trouble getting relatives from another country to USA. Some people would write a letter and ted would approve and help out. He has done a lot... no one including republican said a bad thing about him.

We and I feel we will never have another senator like him :(. Only if he did not get brain cancer.. I swear I'd go back in time and make sure he would not get it. Thats how much Edward T Kennedy is needed.

Also I did no like your joke.. ded kennedy? grow *** up.

I am sorry but people here piss me off. When they do not know about someone. If kennedy's did not exist who is it these so called people talking ***would be hounding? I want to know...?

The guy died... he was a good overall person. We are *** that he died the way he did.

besides that the people calling him a murderer are probably the same people who were saying micheal jackson did what he did to those 2 kids....

I know how it feels to be accused of doing something you did no do... So i will defend people who are innocent.
