windower crashing at character select

FFXI worked fine all day yesterday and now today when I select character it crashes. I found something about redownloading recast?? But I don't know how to tell what is wrong when, All the plugins pop up none say error.

Still crashing but it let me log in a few mins ago and crashed.

Has anything changed before that? New computer? Changed POL? Something else changed?

Nope I logged off the pc to get on my 360 for NNI and that was it. But when I tried to log on 360 said my character was still signed in and it took like 5 mins to get back online. So could it have something to do with not logging off correctly?

Do you have dat swaps? After about 5 minutes of being online it would crash on me too weird because i never had this problem until after the dec. Update. Eventually it got so bad i had to take them all out no more problems now.

As far as the 5 minutes of "still logged in" that would be caused by a disconnect when zoning. Since you crashed after selecting a character it was probably in a loading screen. It just takes more time to fully disconnect. Around 5 minutes or so.

Well sometimes i would crash at char select sometimes 5 mins after it was random really.

Need Help on Windower 4
I am crafting today. So that means a lot of muling. So far on 8 changes of Characters I have had 5 POL crashes. Any advice?
