OaT VNM T3, How Did You Do It?

Looking to unlazy myself and finish my OaT polearm, currently 1/10 on Baby Blobdingnags and wanted to know how everyone did that part, because the rest of the trials items can easily be done/already obtained for me(150/150 Silver mirrors and Riftsands). I know BST(Falcorr) solo and duo with THF worked, but is it worth it to do VNM T3 only with TH1?

Did Krab on BST for GS, but he definitely screwed me on drops often.

No it is not worth it with only TH1. More often then not I would get nothing for drops with TH1. If you can BSTx2+THF is the way to go for sure.

I wouldn't go with just TH1 either. I did mine THF+RDM or DNC+RDM/THF (TH3).

I don't know...hasn't bothered me really. I had 0 drop when I went and got TH9 on it last week. This week I duo Falcorr BST with my fiance and get 2 pops w/double drops and 2 more pops with single. /shrug. Like everything in this game it depends on your luck I guess. Considering I just got 6 in <24 hour I can't knock BST.

RDM+NIN with a thf mule for TH is how I did mine.

I did mine with THF/NIN RDM/WHM and used the seller to handle adds. (Was buying the pops at 100k an abyssite)

Have never gone without a THF, but with TH6+ I've gotten 20 drops in 13-14 Krabs, so assuming droprates are equal, you shouldn't have an issue. Never once had 0 drops, so if people experience 0 drops, I'd recommend thf for sure.

I had 0 drops on two pops.. had a Thf every time, so was just unlucky. However, for 10 Krab shells, I needed about 8 or 9 blue abyssites overall.

I usually went as Thf, unless we were at the tail end of an abyssea night, in which case I'd be on Nin. When I was Thf, we'd have at least TH7, usually upgraded to 9. When I was on Nin, idk what it'd get to due to chat filters. We managed to get one ring out of it too.

Sadly the drop rates aren't equal in this case. Blob can drop 0 for some reason. I've seen it quite often when I helped LS members.

Got zero from Krab with TH7+ at least twice (and in total, four times for one set of shells).

I did the fight before TH upgrade and simply had a THF tag > back off > fight using RDM + BLMs. The BLMs would AOE the pets (One BLM is enough now) and I would fight the NM via RDM pinning. Given your options, duo with a THF is better. If you have to solo, drag him to the pin spot and sub THF to TH him. When your pet wipes, recall or pin until Call Beast is up.

BST + THF/whm. I really didnt tp it much as bst or THF.

I simply shouted for a reward 200k per blob or 300k a pop and i had a friend with ochain come tank it and normally the popper TH'ed it if not i had a friend with thf.

i did mine with 2 bsts buddies that also have drgs (we did the whole trials together) but with 1 bst it worked too. easy boss, annoying part is getting the orange abyssite. good luck

90 Cap, I paid an Ochain PLD to solo it and he got rocked. Retried with a NIN/DNC and a WHM(I was on RDM/BLU). NIN/DNC just autoattacked, they saved all their TP for waltzes for emergencies and removing ailments. The NIN has to watch how much damage he does lest Blobdnag does back to back Cytokinesis which can overwhelm you with adds(does it every 15-20% and spawns like 5-6 babies each time). WHM sat back and heal/buffed the NIN. I pulled all the babies with Diaga fuly buffed with cocoon/def food/stoneskin/phalanx, and just held them the entire fight. Tried before to have a BLM take them down with -aja but tbh at the rate at which the babies were being popped, the BLM quickly ran out of MP doing that. Didn't take a THF but only took ~6 kill to get my 10 blobs(the WHM was /THF for TH3 with Taru sash)

Took my WHM gf and THF friend and proceeded to rape it on DRG/SAM. TH3+ helps a lot, I was 0/6 possible drops (DRG/THF for TH) until my THF friend came out to help. After we all got 5 double drops + a single.
