So every time I load AutoExec it "crashes" and says pol.exe error.

Something along the lines of--

"The instruction at 0x0d54e903 referenced memory at 0x0000000. The memory could not be read."

Kinda like this image.

Click on OK to terminate the program.

Anyone know what this is about?

maybe the file is fubar? Try getting another .dll of spellcast and autoexec. All else fails can redo your whole windower? I've never seen that error personally, but reinstalling has fixed a lot of my probs before x_x;

3rd time re installing, used at least 5 .dll's. I'm really not sure what else can be done but I was hoping someone had the same error and knows whats up. Other than that I think I'm screwed.

That error doesn't mean anything to me directly but perhaps a bit more information can figure out what is going on.

Reinstalling what? Autoexec? Spellcast? FFXI? Edit: from prior post content I'm guessing Windower then?

My bet is that there is another file somewhere that is either corrupt, missing or interfering. Resources and other such support files are likely.

All those files were re installed by hand from that one site that does them now... forgot what it's called.

That doesn't do much to shine any light here. What was reinstalled? Windower? Did you attempt to install in a new place or remove all the old files first before installing?

What directories are the DDL's for autoexec and spellcast in? Was a spellcast folder created in the plugin's folder when you first tried to load sc despite the crash?

Details on as much as you can will help.

I've reinstalled everything at least twice. I've done a full reinstall on FFXI(Full uninstalled, deleted everything) Windower(Same), the plug ins, and tried different versions of the plug ins.

I'm not sure what you mean by directories. Both AutoExec and spellcast tried creating folders for both and tried updating resources but I know I have the LATEST version of them.

By directories, I mean folder structure. I figure there may be something missing somewhere. So here's a map of a basic windower install with SC and AE:
Code
- denotes a folder
a tab denotes the item below it is within that folder

-Windower
	-Plugins
		-AutoExec
			AutoExec.xml
		-Resources
			abils.xml
			areas.xml
			items_armor.xml
			items_general.xml
			resources.log
			spells.xml
			status.xml
		-Spellcast
			debug_.log
			default.xml
		Attainment.dll
		AutoExec.dll
		ConsoleBG.dll
		Distance.dll
		DrawDistance.dll
		LightLuggage.dll
		Recast.dll
		Resources.ver
		Resources.xml
		SpellCast.dll
		TParty.dll
	-Screenshots
		Whatever screenshots you have
	-Scripts
		init.txt
Any other script files you have
	.ini
	commands.txt
	hook.dll
	Launcher.exe
	launcher.ini
	launcher_gui.exe

It's possible that something isn't missing and is just corrupt but short of me actually being on the computer, it's hard to troubleshoot that ^^;

Just a shot in the dark here, but did you make sure to run plain jane POL/FFXI once before you tried running it with windower and whatnot. I ran into a similar looking issue (granted all windows errors look the same to me sometimes) when I did my install from Steam, had to uninstall, reinstall, run it once just the game and then everything worked after.

Well I dont know all the details, so let me ask.
1: Which windows are you using? I use a Win XP and Win 7 setup. Sometimes they do indeed work differently. (For me, I get distance.dll crashes on shutdown on XP while Win 7 is fine, same setups)

Next off, I dont remember fully.. but I did use autoexec before and there was a reason in my init.txt that right below load autoexec I put
.autoexec off
For the launch of the game itself. Cant remember if I did that long ago due to a crash issue. (Ive kept my script files for so long lol)

Now for spellcast, I dont auto load it, I wait till I am IN the game fully then I manually do the load spellcast command in the Windowers UI. Then that all works for me. I think I had issues otherwise "sometimes" where it would *** due to .net stuff. So try getting in the game, then load spellcast manually. See if that helps.
