This is so I can keep a list of my eventual goals and I can check them off because remembering and/or keeping thousands of post-its on my monitor is just insanity. If anyone can help me with some goals, great but otherwise, don't be a jerk because I don't have something. So without further adieu...

I used to keep track of my goals on my FFXIclopedia userpage, but I havent bothered to update it in so long.
Livejournal is a better option.
You can also check your quest, mission, and bard for titles and statuses.

I tried to do that but I ran into a lot of issues and bugs with updating so it was so much easier to post goals here.

Im not bagging on your goals. I think that with FFXI you will continue to get more and more goals all the time, but I normally just write mine down on a note pad I have sitting by my computer. I dont really everyone with an opinion to comment on my personal goals. I would suggest that you use another medium (probably something a bit more privet) unless you want to invite the negative comments.
Anyway good luck. Im sure that you can get all this stuff done if you put your mind to it and dont get too upset at how long it may or may not take.

Curiously I wonder if there would be a way to code a "goal tracker" into ffxiah.com or maybe GW might be a way to help facilitate people working together.

if THAT ATMA would take forever, are you sure you know what goes into a mythic?
If you're rich unlike me, probably faster than that atma.
Even if you were rich as hell mythics still take waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay longer even if you outright bought all 30,000 alexandrite pieces. And no, I'm far from it, though I just finished my first relic. Just don't get overwhelmed by unreasonable goals. If you don't even know what goes into a Terp, ya might want to look it up first.

cliche response ftw? I think you're missing the point I was trying to make. OP shouldn't set goals they don't even know the requirements to I don't think. A mythic is a fast track to discouraging oneself especially for somebody who doesn't have a ton of means. I wish the OP luck, but it would be a mountain to climb to build a mythic if you feel abyssea content would take "forever".
I'm well aware what's required. I wasn't meaning 'forever' as literal but as an expression. Everything takes time.
I Think i have an idea on how to set your priorities straight.
1. Skillup as much as you can (this will help you greatly). Use multi attack weaponsand ask for tips which zones - shortcuts (fortilaces fighting multiple mobs with reta/counterstance) etc. Levelling your evasion can also be fast.
2. Catch up on older content (Zilart Cop AU). This can be done solo/lowman and will give you access to rajas ring suppanomimi and other useful things.
3. Whatever you are doing, drop it if you see VW shouts for clears. this is the current content and there always less and less people needing it or taking the initiative to organize it.
4. Don't get burned out/obsessed on a single event. Try to diversificate/have fun.
5. If you need to make Gils you can farm cruors or dynamis or Salvage (this last one if you have at least 2 friends to do it with).

Yes clearly you didn't mean forever literally lol. But what I'm saying is you'd use a much much different term if you felt it wouldn't take much time to get an atma. And the requirements for a mythic are at least 100x as time consuming. But cheers and good luck, I've given my warning and said my piece.
