Character Creation - Gungnir

Hello, I want to start playing FFXIV during their 10 day trial... I'm currently on Gungnir server but I wanted to recreate my character. On April they decided to close Gungnir server from new characters.

My question is, if I delete my character on Gungnir server can I remake a new character on Gungnir?

If not, this really sucks. Maybe I'll just wait for them to re-open it.... I want to play with my friends.. :(

Also, I've been way out of the loop... Was there any relevant news about being able to recreate your character when they release 2.0? If they have announced anything like that yet? If they would let you redesign your character, that would be really awesome.

No Gungnir will still be closed.

But by 2.0 all the servers will be back open since they will stop using the shitty servers that they are using now.

From what I know is that we will be able to re-choose our race once 2.0 hits as well since they are adding more options Male Mithra Female Galka etc. Hasnt really been 100% confirmed though.

I would suspect that they would let us redesign our characters. If not that reeeaaallly sucks.

Why not re-activate your old char?

I want to play as a different race but stay on the same server I am currently on, but right now it's closed. :/

Some things are turning up on google that I will be able to redesign my character. I think I'll just continue to play as my old character and pray they will let us change when 2.0 transfers over.
