who needs a party when you have a LS, and market wards have items needed, specially for to lazy to go out and farm yourself.

I still farm all my own mats always have :) but for people time restricted, our wards are full.
Not seen much of your LS, just the same two always afk, and you and your mules :)

Yes, it wasn't nearly as great last year as the ffxi ones though. Heres hoping this year is much better.

EDIT: of course you also need 3 other people to go in. very easy AF to get though

Odd that you were able to enter, finishing Into the Dark is a requirement to enter. Or was when the dungeon was first released, maybe they removed it when they lowered the required number to enter down to 4?
can't say for sure but that's what i was thinking. i had into the dark on my quest list at the time, but didn't do the actual, go into the dungeon, part yet. npc out front let me enter no problem though...

There's some requisite to do with Darkhold (I believe it's access). I had flagged the Darkhold mission but didn't have access (needed a couple CS's or something) and was denied AV entry. My LS did a Darkhold run for me the day after and I could enter AV no problems (despite doing 0 other quests).

Correct! Darkhold is required to even enter AV.
I usually point people to patch notes when they ask questions... but here's a general guidline for them.
Patch 1.19 - Ifrit, Caravan Missions, Airships, Chocobos, Links (for battle), Materia/Catalysts
Patch 1.20 - Moogle Battle, Combos, Stat Points and how they relate to classes, Dyeing, Achievements, Search Function
Patch 1.21 - Job Quests, Aurum Vale/ Cutter's Cry, Resting EXP Bonus,
Patch 1.22 - Garuda, Hamlet Defense (1.22a has Aleport and Golden Bazaar)
