How's My Evasion Build?

Hi guys, i'd like some feedback on how my build is and if I could improve it by swapping out pieces for different ones.

The build:

The 2 Shikargars have AGI+11 Evasion +22

well if you just going hardcore eva, you could get Fugacity Mantle.

And SH+1 !! lol.

Believe thats the highest pure eva possible, however..

Mirke with eva/fast cast is more ideal in many situations.

Boxers is more useful than fuga if u have capped parry.

Krousis ring/+1 can get eva and agi augments from fields of valour, highest i've seen on either was eva+5, agi+1 on a NQ of mine, which would take the second ring slot over stormsoul.

Parry isn't useful so not really no.

You could potentially save an inventory slot by using Kacura+1 feet instead of AF+1, if you're already carrying them for WS/etc.

Failing to see where a pure EVA build would be better than a hybrid EVA/DD build.

Turning and waiting for procs, and kiting!

For example, once while waiting for someone to change jobs to proc blue on Alfard, I hit it with Blade: Kamu threw on the evasion set and got myself a soda. Came back, and had 1 shadow left! :D

EVASION SKILL IS BETTER THAN EVASION!!!

This is my macro for my hybrid eva build. I'd use full eva for emergency situations (both utsu timers are down) or in anticipation of a large pull in dynamis and I have to use dream flower.

I realize you're just *** around, but it couldn't hurt to mention that it's been shown that 1 skill = 0.9 evasion and thus the opposite is true.
Only if you assume your evasion rate isn't capped with the hybrid set. Not too many places where that applies these days, even for BLU.

Definitely recommend a hybrid set. Something along the lines of what Kieron posted with the idea of eventually looking something like this:



25% haste with ~81 evasion (including AGI) in non-weapon slots (could add an AGI offhand), 21 Subtle Blow, and a nice chunk of AGI to increase dAGI and minimize TP fed. YMMV on things like Heed or Rajas vs Alert Ring.

Opinions on athos vs mirke for hybrid? 2.5 eva vs 5/2.5% FC.

Swap mirke for casting only?

Athos is a straight upgrade for both mitigation (more eva, more AGI) and offensive output (lolacc, DEX, critdmg+5%, critrate+3% with feet). Mirke's fast cast is still useful, but it's definitely not the better eva piece.

IMO if you're in a hybrid eva setup its usually for utsu. Situational is situational i know but lol.

Obviously for mitigation, but the opinion was what i was after. Ty.

I wasted trophies on Mederi Talar for Fast cast, sadly did not get the body from Bot Rex.

Eh, if it's Utsu then a lot of things change tbh given different priorities for precast vs midcast, and neither of my utsu-eva sets match my hybrid TP set. I do get some use out of my hybrid set for TPing, but that obviously comes down to what you do and how you do it.
