Security token and customer support
So, still in a brutal battle between SE's customer support and myself, and have yet to get my security token unlinked off of my account for 2 months. Used all of the Security token ticket things. Stupid squeenix, how hard is it to unlink my damn token, or make it so I don't have to use it to log in? ::facepalm::

It's demolished hahaha. My dog ate the damned thing. Since I can't play it's just draining my hard earned money that I saved up... (jobless and trying to keep money for as long as I can)
You can change your payment setting to not charge you every month.
Can't log in, I need my security token off of my account to do that. I'll put a picture up to show how bad it is.
Have them send you a new one instead ?
Tried, they said I don't own the account, I put down everything to show that I own the account, and no luck :L
Did you link your POL account to the SquareEnix Account? If that is the case, you should be able to just go to:
http://support.na.square-enix.com/main.php?id=20&la=1&SQEXSC=jprq6jt1bfqb2954v3tg931ev2 In the support center you will be able to enter your SquareEnix info, password, security password, ect. If all your info is correct you will recieve a call tag number and an email from SE telling you to call them with your call tag. I recently lost my token and the only issue I had was not being able to remember my security question answer. XD Once it was all cleared up, it only took seconds for them to remove the token and for me to get on. Wondering, it use to be if you haven't logged in 3 months they stop charging you. Is that still the same?

You can attack things from the other end, although it's painful. Cancel the card being used (easy), or try to get Visa to report as stolen/blocked. My bank (local credit union) is happy to issue a new card with the same account behind it when it has been stolen, etc. That might be the best option until you can finally get SE to believe you. As far as working with the SE support, you can try calling, though I don't know the numbers anymore. Hopefully you have all the original info you signed up with (address, etc.). If you're missing anything, you may never be able to recover it, and the bank cancellation will be the only option. Oh, also having the bank statement where you're getting charged might help - you could send them a PDF or similar that shows the charges coming through. No idea if that will help.

I broke my security token and had it removed. I'm not sure why you're having trouble because my POL account has my cousin's name on it, and I had no problem getting it removed. My Square Enix account has name on it, so I had all the info I needed to remove the token. I don't remember my POL account ever even being mentioned when I talked to support. I just gave them my Square Enix account info and it was a done deal.
My brother is having the same problem with SE for some reason even if you give them all the info and make a ticket they still tell you they cant unlink it. I understand if you cant prove it but if you been playing for 6 years who in the hell is gonna the security question from back then? If you can prove even 5 out of 6 things they should help you.
1) If you have your bank refuse their charges they are going to ban the account permanently. So, yes, that will keep them from billing you but good bye account forever if you do a chargeback.
2) It all depends who you get. I was able to unlink my broken token just by giving them a few pieces of info via chat support (name, address, email address, etc). However, I had tried a couple times before that and they wanted the original codes and such. Once I got someone willing to help me it was unlinked immediately with no wait time. I was even then able to link the token I got with FFXIV within a minute. So basically they just push a button to unlink it. It's just a matter of proving your ownership of the account to their satisfaction. I don't know why you guys are even being asked about POL accounts when you are inquiring about a Square Enix account.
I lost me token and they unlinked it and it took all of like 30min I don't see why you are having such trouble
Took me about 5 min to have my token unlinked by simply asking for it.
Hell, I even relinked it right after without any issue <_< I find it hard to believe but w/e Senkyuutai. Anyway I think he will jus ask for a different supervisor he need to keep up with the people who pick up the line since it seems like most dont wanna help.
I've never actually dealt with these people on the phone. I got my unlinked via web chat. When you do it through web chat, just select Square Enix account as the reason for talking to them.
Yeah that's the best advice - just keep trying with a different rep until you get one that will co-operate more.
But I might just try it with web chat, getting tired of a bunch of the terrible helpers. I was close with one of them, but that's when the email told me, "We cannot verify that you are the owner of the account. Please log in to your Square-Enix account." Then I (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ and waited for a few days.
Hopefully I can fix this tomorrow since no classes or work. I will try the ideas, and I actually considered cancelling my card and getting a new one. You need to be LOGGED on the Square Enix account at the Square Enix support site for the chat link to appear so that's not an option when you're without the token ... -_-;
Actually, you don't need to if you click broken/malfunctioned for the security token, but it seems when you make it that far they don't offer chat for security token related things. If you to this link and input Account/Billing and Additional Services it should let you through and give you the option of doing online chat. I'm not sure they are going to help, but when I unlinked mine, That is how I did it.
@Mariane, I did not know that hahaha... - _-; ::diabetic blonde moment:: and @Tsuneo I'll try that one since I got the same "Cannot prove that you own the account" error code. Even though I probably put about 10 different ways they can prove the account is mine. Also the dog who ate my token just had puppies. May god have mercy on my games and anything in this computer room. D:
