Working on my 85 Redemption trial and looking for a way to optimize farming KI/killing Ul. I figure If i went blu i'd be able to cleave eyes( or just kill em really fast) in between Amun pops and maybe get some ki to same time.
Question is how effective can a blu tank/kill with "only" whm as back up. Im sure its possible. So what gear/sub/spell/atma setup should i be using to make this most effective.

If you'r just gonna be 2 people, just go nin + whm, getting 2 amuns take you like 30min.
Not worth the extra hassle on Ulhuadashi beeing BLU to maybe speed up the process of getting KIs by 5-15 minutes depending on luck. (Remember you need to cap lights and crap first aswell.)

I just finished my Ulhuadashi trial for H2H, and imo NIN+WHM is the way to go. Nin killed it quickly and didnt take alot of damage. Just be sure to turn on TP moves so you dont heal him and make the fight all that much longer.

THF + WHM = easy duo. Get TH, turn during TP moves, keep Barstrona up etc.
I agree with others and have done it NIN/WAR + WHM, super easy to snag both NM/KIs and knock out the worm.
Rinse repeat.
I personally only CW burn for KIs when I have a group with me to hold them because cleaving for 2-4 KIs
is not nearly as efficient as just killing the NMs... Unless you're lucky.

Duo'd Nin/dnc and my Drk/nin friend when we did his Redemption. Wasnt difficult he had apoc 2 regain atma, stood back stunning and draining and came in to SC with me or just WS

I'm very aware that nin+whm or thf+whm are going to be most efective, however im just looking at back up options in case depserate times start calling for desperate measures.
A lot of ppl doing Chlor/Ul/Dragua on my server and competition going to get pretty intense, especially considering that 1/2 the pop is time spawned amun. If i come blu, i'd have the option to CW ki while im camping amun. possibly helping out in those overcamped times.

IDK how efficient blu + whm duo would be if you're trying to get a lot of pops done, but I've duoed it a few times as blu/whm healer + thf|nin with no issues at 90. And that's without any cure potency gear beyond staff.

stunning with lightning based stun on ulhuadshi?

I never duo that NM with a WHM, but if it's doable with NIN or THF+WHM, then I'm 100% sure it's doable with BLU+WHM too. Just do exactly the same thing NIN THF's doing. DD+shadow and such. Atma is either RR/GH/Apoc or MM, set triple attack and store TP, and focus on melee dmg. Use high dmg spells like Efflux QC or Heavy strike when timer's up. You can also cast defensive buffs or debuff if you feel it's necessary.
Also you can set TH job trait next update, so maybe you can wait until next update for TH.

easy duo MNK + WHM... lol hands down. eyes closed done it a bunch
I tanked Ulhuadashi on War, it usually goes down in five min if it doesnt get Pysche Suction off.
