Requiescat for Blu
Just about 3 weeks since last post. Is it safe to say that for those of us without Morrigans gear and Athos's gloves, that stacking mind only mage gear is the way to go? I know the obvious answer is yes but I was hoping that str would do since I'm deck out with it.
Stacking only MND is a poor decision. Requiescat is attack starved as is, so ignoring that would be unfortunate. I've just opted to stick in STR and attack in the largest quantities possible (I do not put STR above MND if the MND boost is significant) and fill in the gaps with MND, while doing both whenever I can.
I see your point. Technically I don't like it but being that I can't get Toci's or Athros' gloves to drop for the life of me, that I'll be using this WS alot more. :-/
Is this ws actually any good against any of the high teir VW nms? Unfortunately, I don't have Almace and was wondering if this is any better than Vorpal Blade at 5/5.
Okay, I know the damage isn't the best, but I love this WS after getting it. The animation is wicked, and Requiescat > Quad. Continuum > Darkness is sex. I wanted a WS with this skillchain property for YEARS. Been playing BLU since TOAU, back when you soloed distortion with Savage Blade > Disseverment, wishing I had swift blade so I could solo darkness with disseverment. Now I can. Just wish it had critical or had better mods or something like you guys say. Wonder if we bitched to SE enough, they'll change it xD (as if they like listening to players)

You have almace, and you're not using CDC because you don't have athos's gloves or toci's...? Seriously? What a waste. The Requiescat is for Pil on shield. Nowhere did I mention not using CDC.

Played with it for a bit, it's better than vorpal but worse than CDC on T3s, especially good on Pil since Pil has shield. But pretty terrible on T6s. It seems to be better than sanguine on elementals too. Does the bonus from Elemental Gorgets/Belts apply to all hits for this WS like a few others?
Nightfyre's testing confirmed that it does, so got ninja buffed at some point.
Thanks for the quick reply. Was sure I first heard that they didn't, but I noticed it in some sets so just wanted to make sure.
I'm looking for a non-salvage ws set for this WS... This MND mod crap has my head spinning
Just have someone merc it for you if you dont like doing salvage
It's not that I don't like doing salvage, it's that I don't have any more assault points left.
whirlwind pants are better than thaumas?
PLD thread intrigued me so I looked at some current Requiescat sets and my own, I'm not sure why there's so many Requiescat sets floating around with Morrigan's Robe. Praeco is superior by a rather decent margin. Current ideal BLU Requiescat set should look like:
Athos gloves on the appropriate days obviously, and a second Fire Shikargar if for whatever reason you're using Requiescat as your primary weaponskill. Difference between this and the next best set I could find was almost a full 100 damage for average and maximum. I can only assume the lack of info means it's from legion... Sans that, what hat would you use?
Likely legion yea. Maat's cap is 1 less STR and MND so that. If you don't have Maat's cap, Teal or something. Really not a lot of head options.
Eh, yeah I don't think I'm gunna go after a maat's cap for a ws I only use in situational stuff ^^;
Praeco is cheap and the rest of it, I'd have gotten anyhow. No Eponas?
Idk, I'm actually thinking of de-meriting requiescat, I find myself pulling better numbers with cdc + amorphic rather than requi + quad, and have no real use for it atm. It's use is generally for special purposes. Anything with damage resistance(naraka's in yaksha) or shields (ello thar pil) it's incredibly useful on. It even pierces invincible.
While as of right now, I don't use it that much, I don't really have any other jobs that need a merited ws more. Ragnarok.Galiber said: » No Eponas? Req is a must have if you plan to do Nyzul uncharted on BLU, about 2.2k~2.6k+ on that PDT- flan NM without WS gorget(I should farm one just for this NM in Nyzul tbh). Also, I had better numbers with Req+QC in dyna solo, although CDC+A.spike is enough to kill most of the EP mobs most of the time. Ragnarok.Galiber said: » No Eponas? No, Epona's is inferior to Aquasoul. This actually drew my attention to brutal, Neptune/Aqua earring would actually be superior to it. As for the WS itself, it's for niche use. Slimes, Rocs, Flans, some Skeletons, that sort of thing. no. aqua/neptunes pearls are best in slot outside of moonshade earring. Worth noting that the difference between neptune and aqua is at most 2-4 points of damage, and that depends on what your current MND is due to flooring. In the set I posted, there is absolutely no difference between the two before taking spell bonuses into effect.
