Requiescat for Blu
Can any Blu's playing on Test server give some info as to how good this is for Blu. I mostly want to know what spells it can skillchain with, and what kind of +mnd gear a Blu can get for this /ws. Also kind of interested in it's damage vs Vorpal and CDC for /ws outside of Chain Affinity.
I haven't been on the test server this round yet, but as for our gear, it doesn't look too good. We get plenty of mnd gear, however almost none of it has any str or attack on it.
It's going to be hard to get a decent attack ratio on anything worthwhile. Maybe with triumphant roar we'll manage good returns. 85-100% (i've read both) wsc mod is nothing to joke about. Cap fSTR>mnd>attack i assume would be gearing priority for this WS. I also read this can beat CDC, so i wouldn't count it out as just a SC WS just yet. I'm definitely not one of the math experts on this site, but I just threw together what seemed like would be decent pieces to be using. I'm sure there's better options for hands/legs/feet, but the rest looks alright. Maybe replace legs with Whirlwind Dirs and feet with Mederi Brogues augmented with 6 STR since it looks lacking on STR. Had no idea what to put in for neck so just used an ele gorget. There's absolutely no way that +3 STR could beat 10 MND on this WS, so Morrigan's is pretty safe in the feet slot. Aquasoul should beat Aqua rings, with maybe Epona's in one slot. It's a little too soon to tell on the TP Bonus earring.
Oh, my. How did I forget about Epona's. :x
Now i'm hoping this WS sucks so i don't need to get morrigan's gear QQ
Also i would drop the gorget for either 1. more acc if needed, or 2. str/attack. Adding .1 fTP on an (assuming) minimum 5 fTP WS doesn't seem worth it. Of course SE could pull a stringing pummel and make the first fTP <1, lol. You would drop a gorget for 2 accuracy?

As for Requiescat being elemental damage, I've yet to find evidence to suggest that it acts as actual elemental damage aside from possibly dealing above normal damage on physical resistant mobs. For all intents and purposes, Requiescat's damage is calculated the same way as a physical weaponskill. Quiznor said: » Would epona's matter at all even? Since its a magical non-elemental WS? It's not a magical WS. Sneak Attack increases it's damage, f'rex. It's a WS that calc's damage like Twilight Scythe, AFAIK. You can probably just treat it as physical damage that just ignores all physical bonuses/penalties. (except maybe immunities, I should go try it on Pil or Limubs mobs) Ah,I misunderstood it when I read it was a magical non-elemental WS then.
Edit:I misunderstood what I read it as and took it that way myself. Edit 2: Sword: Requiescat Five-Hit WS, Non-elemental damage. TP mods Attack thats what made me think it I haven't touched Realmrazer yet, but Requiescat + (CA+Unbridled+Bloodrake)to Darkness is just awesome.
Four hits. It works like Twilight scythe, bypassing both magic and physical resistance. Damage on elementals, pots, and flamingos was all in the same range.
Thinking about it, on things that matter, Requiescat should be better than any other weaponskill that BLU can use, so disregard the Realmrazer > Requiescat bit Valefor.Prothescar said: » Four hits. I thought that the .dats said this was a 5 hit WS. In-game description says four
Wow, this sounds like a nice WS alternative for CDC. How does it fair against CDC though? I don't have almace (atm I'm working on a tp bonus sword, before I considering really doing almace).
I dont have an almace yet either, and my current Imperial Standing is 700, so perdu wand is out. The sword ws is what I will be using, regardless if club is better. I'm sure its better than Savage Blade, but is it really mnd based -.-
Odin.Eikechi said: » atm I'm working on a tp bonus sword Honestly I'm more concerned with our accuracy when using this WS than attack... It'll be fine for lesser mobs but there's going to be a lot of tradeoffs involved to keep a decent hitrate with this spell for 99 cap endgame content. honestly, the tp bonus sword, is for mainly off-hand so i can sang blade more effectively. its just something i'm building in my spare time, but now seems more worth it with this WS. Though I'm not sure I'm gonna merit this WS
Sanguine's TP mod only lets it drain more, it doesn't enhance the damage. So if you just want to get a bit of extra hp then cool but otherwise it's pointless.
That's Sanguine Blade's use. I don't understand how that makes it useless.
tp bonus works in offhand? Ive never considered making one, even if thats true. /shrug
yes, thats the point, to drain more hp. i know it doesn't mod its dmg.
edit: but the amount you drain goes up dramatically with 200 tp Shiva.Viciousss said: » tp bonus works in offhand? I suppose I'm spoiled, I've got Almace and I don't need to cure myself with my tp, that's what my alt's for. Though, I did say that "Unless you need more hp" but I'll make a revision anyway, it's pointless for me. TP Bonus magians work in offhand yeah.
