Hey fellow BLUs.

I was wondering if anyone out there with a Burtgang could test if the PDT on it stacks with a native 50% cap PDT Build and with Barrier Tusk?

Ive heard that Barrier Tusk and Burtgang both can surpass the 50% gear cap, but if they also stack then that would mean a possible 81%PDT cap for BLUs!

Anyone able to test???

Other than the fact that blu can't wear burtgang, sure probably. But even if it does the only practical use is to diffusion it on to a pld.

Burtgang=PLD onry right? or do you mean /blu in which case you don't get barrier tusk...maybe I missed something?

Edit: I havent looked since original test server findings but isnt barrier tusk % calculated differently and wouldnt be the same as 75% anyways?

DOUF my fault - yes i forgot BLU couldnt wear Burtgang haha, I was thinking of Almace ;;

ah well 81% for PLDs is nice also for omgz situtations.

You could even keep that up full time if you had 5 blus with fully merited diffusion!

Edit: But it doesn't stack with phalanx so even if it lasted 5 minutes it'd be a borderline useless endeavor.

Right, it's 15% calculated seperately from PDT. So you'd have (1-0.66)*(1-0.15)=0.289, or 71.1% total damage reduction from all 3.

(which means that Barrier Tusk grants less damage reduction the more PDT you have)

I removed my 1 diffusion merit, never used it. I've never known a BLU that had more than 2 merits in it.
