Okay, here goes. I want an Ebisu Fishing Rod which almost requires you to have Woodworking 75+. The thing is my main craft is Clothcraft at 82.

My question is when I take Woodworking to 80* (thereby reducing my Clothcraft back to 80) after breaking the 68-70 cap and becoming an Artisan (which caps at 80) will I be able to not only take Clothcraft to 100 (which will reduce the Woodworking to 60) but also be able to reduce my actual Rank of Woodworking back to Journeyman?

The thing is I like blue numbers... And I won't do this unless I can re-cap to Journeyman and see all blue numbers on my craft list.

*I won't intentionally take Woodworking to 80 but the Lu Shang's Fishing Rod repair synth caps at 80 and as often as it's going to break I just might end up hitting 80. Or will it only go up to 78 because of those 2 last points in Clothcraft? Do you have to somehow allow the game to take away those points or will it do it automatically?

You can only have one Craft at 100 and all else at 60.

So IF I understand your question correctly, you can NOT have Cloth taken to 100 and WW left at 80. It's not possible the way the current system is set up.

Get some mules and have each one lvl a different craft.

Do you want to de-lvl a craft? you are confusing.

Just /sh and get a WW guy to fix your rod, or a hooker lawl.

I understand that there are only 40 post level 60 points to work with throughout all crafts excluding fishing. It's not an overly complex question but I'm bad an explaining things and might have complicated the issue. I don't know how to reword it to make it easier to understand either but I'll try.

Currently: Clothcraft=82 Woodworking=22

Eventually: Clothcraft=82 Woodworking=78

Will the Woodworking go up to 80 (thereby reducing Clothcraft to 80) on it's own or do I have to allow those last 2 points to be removed from Clothcraft?

And then after I'm done with Woodworking and continue with Clothcraft to 100 (which will then reduce Woodworking to 60) can I also reduce the Woodworking Rank to Journeyman or will it stay Artisan?

First off you need to have 2 rings to give you fishing enhancement enchantments (that are removed upon removal of the rings or zoning) which last for 20min each in order to catch the fish you need for the Ebisu using normal bait.

Combine that with the fact you will break your rod extremely often trying to catch those particular fish.

These make it very unpractical to either have someone else repairing your Lu Shang's (unless they go with you and repair your rod as you break it) or to have a mule do it for you.

Yes I will be de-leveling the Woodworking back to 60 when I take Clothcraft to 100. My main question is whether or not the Rank in Woodworking can be brought back down to Journeyman from Artisan.

Yes, it will go on it's own.

It will automatically delevel to journeyman and turn blue for you all on it's own, one point at a time as you go to 100 on Clothcraft.

Ok for anyone else wondering, this is how it works.
You can take multiple crafts above 60 using 40.0 diminishable post60 points.
I have Cloth at 82 and got Wood to 79.
On the way to 79 each 0.1 after the 40.0 points were allocated the other craft would lower by the same amount the current craft would rise.
Once I had obtained Ebisu I went finished the Fishing guild Points and then returned to the Cloth guild.
Once I had signed up for Cloth again the Guild Master then gave the option to re-cap other crafts (sans fishing) to 60 and Journeyman status.
Simply raising the other craft does not lower your other crafts rank just the points.

When it's all said and done I have my Ebisu and my blue number syndrome is quelled. ^^;
