If you don't think pirating hurts the bottom line well then you just don't understand... Either way more pirating and such is leading the industry to ideas like making it mandatory to sign in and verify your game before you can play it..
I do lol at the "well I wasn't going to buy it, so they didn't lose anything, but I'm still going to play it even though I don't think it's worth the money lol"
You play off the peoples back that do purchase it because they wouldn't make the games unless someone did.
by creating more pirates, and I didn't say all I said most, and more wouldn't pirate if there were less reasons to: cheap games, more manufacturer available options.
If that's what you want to think, go ahead. Also my own logic doesn't derive that conclusion... People can't afford $60 games.
I don't care what I appear to be, I'm sorry that you don't agree, but I don't need you to.

no you don't understand...
I lol'd at your bottom statement though, that's funny.
As for their "ideas" like I said, they are bad ideas to continue their failed business model.
I do buy some games, most of the games I've "pirated" are either ancient, or aren't available in this area. Copyright is meant to promote creation, not to make people rich, so no I don't feel bad about it.
The only time I ever honestly concidered doing lan parties were on xbox original playing halo, that was always fun but as far as a pc game I did internet cafe lan parties with my friends think it was like $5 per hour and we would play like 3 hours lol back when counter-strike was a fad
It's not about whether they will survive or whether they will even make one more penny... It's the sense of entitlement that gets me. If you don't like the game/can't afford it/don't think it's worth 60/etc. you don't play it... Just seems like people feel they're entitled to this material for no reason other than well they (corporations that make the games) can afford it and they're making too much money already lol...
gaming is cheap entertainment, but most games can't be played for extended periods of time, a few hours a week if that, that's not much for $60 per game.
Considering some of the largest groups who buy games are children (allowance/parents), teens, college students, people who don't have much money at all.

I lan for multiplayer 360 games a lot even today, me and my friend and several of his friends don't have high speed internet, and it's better than splitscreen. I need to get their consoles updated though, with new map packs for gears...2, since it's much cheaper than buying everyone 3.

it's information, people are entitled to information on the internet, as it's a medium to spread information.
Some will always play things their way, if the corporations won't give it to them others will.
Like with hacking consoles, to play pirated games or to run homebrew, it doesn't matter.
I have a hacked Wii, love it, even some of the games I have discs of I have loaded on a hdd, just makes it easier, a really good snes emulator is available too, much easier than getting my carts from storage.
Apparently none of you are very familiar with the troll that is Jetackuu.
Think of the most liberal, self-entitled, egotistical, "I'm never wrong" type person and then multiply it by 10. That's about how ever argument comes about with him.

When you compare it to other stuff, gaming is a really cheap form of entertainment.
Consoles are 300$-400$, they last 10years + until the next generation
Games are ~60$, you get 15 - 40 hours of entertainment and for some games hundred of hours.
15 hours is 4$ per hour of entertainment.
Bluray = 30$, I'd say the average movie length is ~2 hours (I have no data on that!). That's 15$ per hour.
Theater is is 10-15$ per ticket, so that's 5-7$ per hour for something you don't even own.
Amusement parks are like 40$ for 1 day, you spend 6-8 hours there. that's ~5$ per hour and yet you don't own anything.
imo, video games are cost efficient entertainment.
~Disneyland is like 100 a day... shits expensive lol
~ Consoles break frequently. ive never had one break but a friend has had his ps3 die twice. but ya mine have lasted since release.
~also idk about the people who pirate. i think they are wrong and think they are entitled to play a game for free. also i like where this is making the game industry turn to. 24/7 online/monitored games.
All I'll say is support the company by purchasing their game, pirate if you dont give two cents about it.
would have bought it, now I'm going to pirate it, is the point.
they lost a potential paying customer due to their incompetence.
Why? Because of day 1 server problems?
I'm sure every online game has had those, i know FFXI did when they first started. Just give it a day or two to resolve itself. It's kind of sad you're whole approach to it is "Not going the way I want, gonna steal it instead of buying"

I fix consoles in my spare time, they break too often.
Why do you think they are wrong?
It's not making the game industry do anything, they chose to go that route instead of fixing the issue... /facepalm

learn to read the thread before you post, but I'll tell you anyway: because it shouldn't be online only: there should be single player (true single player: offline) and a lan mode (again, not online).
not everyone has access to stable/fast internet, and like I said because of this I'll be pirating the game instead of buying it, not paying money for something that's broken.
How is it sad that I don't want to pay full price for a game I can't utilize? and pirating isn't stealing, I'm not taking a physical object.
I have a feeling it's going to take a long time before someone is able to pirate this. A private server would have to be established to do so, and something tells me blizz aint gona let it fly....
arg, ***' figures, my processor is too dated to handle the game properly -.- It's an AMD Phenom II X4 810 (4CPUs) ~2.6GHz, for anyone curious
I don't know much about installing hardware components into PCs, so I need to figure this ***out asap
Doubt it is the processor, I'd guess it's the video card weighing you down.
Gonna agree with Maha. Minimum specs on Blizzard say that CPU should be able to run it no problem (actually above recommended requirements). If you're running a PC you bought as a whole I got 10 bucks you're running off an integrated graphics.
Pop her open and see if you have a PCI-E slot. If you have an open one you should easily be able to find a video card for $50~$100 that can run this game.
I came to see what class everyone is playing and share my excitement at one of my favorite franchises. But after reading the last few pages I just wanted to reiterate how much I hate people.
Hate.
But: Love Diablo 3 so far. Just starting and it feels good to be back.

Planning on being a Demon Hunter (maybe Sorceress if I don't like Demon Hunter). Always loved going pew pew at stuff, hoping demon Hunter wont let me down.
I'm curious about somthing, I havent been able to make it past the login screen since 12 am this morning. I was wondering if that was due to the current problems or if its another issue, like my drivers being outdated.
