So I was going over the rankings of a lot of my LS when I came across this.

# Name Points Rank level Up/down

1. Frosty Mouse - 12,454 - 50 - 50 - 0
2. Okidoki Mkll - 9,518 - 30 - 50 - 0
3. Tea Cup - 7,023 - 42 - 50 - 0
4. Unguwa Chin - 6,223 - 36 - 50 - 0
5. Rocket Stryker - 4,483 - 35 - 45 - 0
6. Drewsum Vidina - 3,964 - 30 - 43 - 0
7. Sol Rising - 4,135 - 30 - 42 - 0
8. Rocco Nilz - 2,907 - 31 - 39 - 0
9. Havoc Seirei - 2,726 - 34 - 36 - 0
10. Bebop Korkio - 2,666 - 34 - 35 - 0
11. Leia Windrose - 2,480 - 27 - 40 - 0

Bebop here is P-level 35 with 2,666 points, while Leia is P-leve 40 with 2,480 points.

I'm just wondering how the algorithm determines this?

Thanks,

Cruise

Hey Cruise,

The physical level is not a factor in calculating the points, with the exception you need to have at least a physical level of 10 to get points.

The algorithm is simple:

Points = Sum(SP gained for each job)

I have a table that tells me how much SP is required for each rank.

SO if i get armorer from rank 18 to 19 do i add 19 points or 1300 because if i add 1300 that is way to much but if i dd 19 it seems rather low? If points = sum of SP for each job i would have like a million points. Lol Just sayin, i still don't get it.

It doesnt make any sense. Just compare these two profiles:

Name Phys Fishing Archery Mining Points

Rahzirin Morain | 10 | 11 | 0 | 0 | 17 |
Herakles Olympus | 10 | 0 | 8 | 1 | 29 |

Rahzirin has aquired between 21,350 and 27,249 Skill Points and is awarded with 17 Achievement Points.

Herkales has aquired between 8,850 and 12,618 Skill Points and is awarded with 29 Achievement Points.

Rahzirin has got about double amount of SP than Herakles, but gets about half amount of Achievement Points.

So the Algorithm you posted is wrong. If it was really Sum(SP gained for each job) then the high-lvl players would get at least 1,782,150 Achievement points for each rank 50 class, since thats the amount of SP you need to reach rank 50. So whats the algorithm now? It doesnt seem to make any sense to me if you consider my example above.

@Exekutor

Your example led me to find a bug that fishing wasn't being counted. It has been corrected.

I have total SP for rank 50 is 1,781,150. The number from the Wiki is probably correct since it makes more sense and the lodestone has an error. In many cases, level 46~47 is 92,000 sp on lodestone. Example: Look at archery here. This explains the 1,000 point difference, which isn't really important in respect to rankings.

All SP points are weighted by a factor of 0.0014035. This is so I can weigh the difficulty of achieving rank 50 versus physical level 50 or anything else that will be included in the sum. Also, it keeps the score from getting very high. 2500 points for rank 50 (0.0014035 * 1,781,150). Physical level is done the same way, 1,500 points for level 50 (6,613,400 * 7.56040766 × 10^-6).

The wiki could be right because it make more sense and lodestone does have inconsistencies.

Here is the chart with 92,000

44~45 85,000
45~46 89,000 +4000
46~47 92,000 +3000
47~48 96,000 +4000

Going from 4k to 3k and back to 4k is odd. :/

so from 30-31 = 38,000 SP.

38,000 SP = A
0.0014035 = Y
AP for that 30-31 = X
A * Y = X?

But then it would be

45~46 89,000
46~47 93,000 +4000
47~48 96,000 +3000
49~50 100,000 +4000

so it doesnt seem to make "more" sense at all.
And thats another lvl range thats odd. I found out that the info on the wiki matches the info on lodestone on this level-range:

41~42 74,000
42~43 78,000 +4000
43~44 81,000 +3000
44~45 85,000 +4000

This is both odd, so i suggest to take the info from lodestonel, iam sure they take their info from an ingame-database so that seems to be the most reliable source of info.
