My question is this Why was deodorize put in this game?, I heard rumors it prevented undead blood aggro, along with stopping certain enemies from tracking you, I.E crawlers.
http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Deodorize
Scroll down to the notes section, and it explains it pretty well.
Say you get aggro'd by a tiger in Jugner Forest. You manage to trip it up on some trees as it's following you, increasing the distance between you both. After a while you "lose sight of the Forest Tiger" and you've pretty much escaped danger.
At least you would have if tigers didn't track by scent. Even if you're outside their aggro range, if they've already aggro'd you they will continue to track you down by smell. Deodorising yourself makes it impossible for them to track you in this way, so they'll stop chasing you and give up.
EDIT: On the subject of pronounciation... "Sauromugue Champaign". What the hell.
Question to the monks:
Does the Regen effect from Invigorate stack with the Regen spells?
No
Thank you. Was curious if it was worth meriting invigorate heavily if I dual box with a perma WHM or SCH around myself at all times.
Suppose Formless Strikes would be the next thing worth meriting.
Do you still have to have full sets of AF or relic in order to store it with an NPC? Thought I remembered hearing somewhere that you don't, but can't remember.

With the old storage NPC you do, but with the new Porter Moogle you don't.
That one's not even hard. Pso'Xja, Uggalepih, Hu'Xzoi, Zvahl and Zhayolm. It's like tongue exercises. D: I think Eldieme Necropolis is a cool creepy name, though.

Stupid question: WHY PLD SUCK NOW ; ;
Damage mitigation is nice, but can't compare to equal tanking abilities from monks (counter) while dealing extra damage more so than paladins can measure up to without Zorro WS.
Essentially PLDs aren't "bad", they tank well like they always have, but why tank and not deal damage when you can have a monk do both at the same time?
At least that's what I've been able to grasp from fellow players. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong folks~
Do bar-elemental spells stack with bar-status spells? like barblizzara stacking with barparalyze? I would always just cast both just to be sure.
Also does Blessed Briault stack with AF2 pants? I hear it does and I hear it doesn't. I've never really got around to testing it =/
Yes, the bar Element-Ailment effects do stack in an effective and beneficial way. Generally bar-ailment are semi-usless without the corresponding Bar-element. In battles like Tunga, Isgebind and Dragua, Bar-Stone/Petrify Bar-Blizz/Para can make (Particularly the back line's) life much easier, resisting the majority, if not all the status ailments involved with those enemies.
Can't answer No.2 though. I've heard so many things about Briault that I just tend to ignore it now.
Thanks! Now when I do it I won't feel stupid when people ask me what I am doing! I did it on Jailer of Faith, years ago and I got an ear full from an officer "whm-for-lyfe" telling me I was stupid.

Probably finish all jobs to 99 where i can perhaps retire someday (wishful thinking).
I'm sure they are going to do something *** retardedly hard for magian trials soon... something along the lines of several pieces of gear from sky sea and salvage plus your AF3+2 to make +3... not really that but you get the idea lol.
When it comes to Grellow The CRT monitor in my room gives me a yellow with green shading, instead of using darker shades of yellow like your suppose to like the blue and red. Also on the LCD monitor that my parents have it is green with yellow as its shading, the exact opposite as on my CRT. Neither the less it is shaded with bother green and yellow and not one or the other making it Green-yellow, or yellow-green, grellow and not actually yellow, calling it yellow is the falsehood.

Haven't played in a while due to my already slow internet being impeded by technical complications that the phone company failed to repair last week. fml. ; ;

XD Yeah, I figured as long as you just sound 'em out slowly, you'd get it. Still doesn't take away from the feeling that SE just /handkeyboarded when they couldn't come up with anything cooler sounding. :/
Ok, this may be the stupidest question asked in this thread. But what is "proc" short for?
Quote:
Proc was originally short for "spec_proc" (spec_proc is short for "special procedure") which is a term used by the original programmer of Circle-MUD, Jeremy Elson. It might have been used as well by the original programmers of diku-MUD as well. Special procedures in Circle-MUD are functions that can be assigned to objects, players, and locations in the world such that each time an event occurs, the special procedure function will be invoked. Special procedures were used in Circle-MUD for a wide variety of purposes: Creating room events when a person typed a specific string of text, causing a weapon or piece of armor to perform a magical action, and even causing a MOB (mobile) to do something that it wouldn't normally do.
I always believed it was just short for "process" when something processed, it meanned it procced

Proc. is short for processed, Meaning the action has been completed. Niniann's quote came from another thing about another game which some of us have never heard about and has nothing to do with the terminology we use. I just keep hoping that "where proc comes from?" is a blond moment for people and not the lack of a developed lexicon.

It's from a game you never heard of, yes. But that's where the term originated from... and they've used it in MMOs etc since. I don't know how that's hard to believe, lol.
