I know it might be silly but I just want a nice polearm. so which one would be the best. I know there is the engesto, gondo, leviathan couse, dabo, anything else?
how would you rank them, which is the best?

It would probably be both
It's probably:
Leviathan Couse > Gondo-Shizunori (unlocked) > Engetsuto > Dabo

We had a war the would use polearm sometimes when we were fighting peircing weak stuff. His ws dmg and frequency was significantly lower than the sams or even his own on gaxe

Sams get more store tp acc and str before gear? And sam gets usukane
War has a higher str rating than sam unless you mean hasso but if you bring ja's in war would have a bigger acc/atk boost with aggressor and berserk.
You would probably have to break it down to gear/merits.
A lot of polearm sams will merit polearm, polearm wars don't.
most polearm wars don't gear it right as well.

Could pull of a 6-hit engetsu with a haub+1 if you had a goading belt. :Q
SAM gets 19% ws dmg face to face.
ok lets say i did 4/8 merits, or even 8/8 merits. I know its probably not worth it but polearm is fun to whip out from time to time.

Thing is sam can get around such low skill by having armor that gives lots of accuracy while giving store tp and haste and get a 5 hit out of it
