Increase rate of combat skill gains
Note: Little to no skill gain above 170 skill, tested both Saltena and Elshena and skills gains dramatically increased above 170 with Elshena.
Baiscly, use Saltena before 170 to skill up and this after it, and when you think that 170 skill is apx lvl 55 your going to be using this for all the Aby leveld job that are out there...
And if you dont like the pirce of it go farm and sell the items needed for it on the ah because atm the cooks gotta farm it themselfs.
These are currently fairly pricey, as people have said below, due to the cost of the not-so-easy to come by Scream Fungus.
Unfortunately, these only last 30 minutes, so you should really take advantage of the food buffs available in AU or (S). It may not seem like a big deal, but that little food buff will double your time, and in the process, reduce your food cost by half!
Anecdotal evidence or otherwise, I experience a relatively consistent 20-40 shield skill ups above 300 skill and about 10 parrying skill ups above 250 skill in 1 serving (30 minutes) of this food. Actual results will vary, depending on your skill rating and on the number, type, and level of the enemies you pull. For best results, mob EM+ en masse.
Capped Guard 240-389 and Parrying 250-389 using these exclusively....on the mandies in altepa....a few hours a day....in about 2 weeks....very smooth skills ups....about 5-10 lvs per hour with 5-10 mobs solo....if you bring a rdm Phalanx II will allow you to hold 20-25 mandies all in zone easily...making SU even faster....good luck...
Doesn't seem to significantly effect Guard skill up rates. Before discovering this food I had spent about 3 hours in Aby - Canyon skilling up on mandies. During that time I averaged about 1 point/10 minutes. I just used 2 of these over 1 hour and got about 6.5 points starting at 227 skill (273 with gear/merits). Somewhat small sample size but still, I had hoped to see a noticeable effect within an hour.
