Thieves could make good use of that when fighting skeletons ^^ I can already imagine SATA True Strike with this on the skeletons on the 3rd floor of Apollyon SE!
Morgenstern, first ya gotta obtain it...then you get the sheer joy of workin off 500 ws points. Perdu Wand, free yep, after you pull off Chief Sergent rank & 40,000 IS. Seawolf/Robber Cudgels, indeed free, people spend months & months attempting to obtain these and STILL don't have them. Templar Mace, agreed, healing club.
So really, assuming only a WHM would want any of these clubs, realistically, the only other option is Purgatory Mace. And in the end its WHM only. Good mace yep, fairly cheap, yep.
To each their own^^ months & months of time spent trying obtaining clubs, or farming the gil to purchase a club. It all depends which, in the end, is worth your valuable time.
2.5M? Just about the only people I could see using one of these would be WHM/NIN or PLD/NIN for offhand.
There are many other excellent clubs that are either free or much cheaper.
Purgatory Mace, Morgenstern, Perdu Wand, Seawolf Cudgel, Sea Robber Cudgel, Templar Mace (against Undead for Killer effect and MND boost to WS)
EDIT: Don't get me wrong, the stats and flexibility of jobs are really nice, but my point is that almost no one who relies on damage for their job would use this and it is going for more than things like a Blau Dolch, Hagun, Juggernaut, and Eurytos Bow.
Other than people with KClub or Octave, how many people that aren't WHM actually melee while using a club with the intent of doing damage? And, WHM have other options.
Purgatory Mace is better DPS, and has two stat boosts that directly affect both Hexa Strike and Black Halo.
For servers where this item is very pricy, watch for price to fall fast over next few months once the novelty wears off. Mos
Just a minor consideration: This is a monstrous club for THF, if you should find occasion (say Pot or Skeleton BCNM/ENMs) to use it. Sneak Attack and Trick Attack guarantee that any Triple Attack or Double Attack swings in your WS will land, and True Strike causes critical hits on all hands that land. So if you use SA(TA) Assassin's Charge True Strike, you're guaranteed at least a four-hit critical WS with a 10% chance of a 6-hit critical WS, given full Triple Attack merits.
To Aramina: This club is excellent for THF on things weak to blunt (pots, for example).
On an unrelated note: it's items like these where SE pisses me off. Why? Every job that can use a club *except* BLU can use this. BLU's only weapons are Sword and Club. They have the same club skill as WAR (B-), which is tied for 3rd highest club skill in the game (after PLD and WHM). Yet SE gives BLU almost no clubs that are anywhere near decent to melee with; only casting wands. >.>
I've been using this club for quite some time now. Never looked back on it. acc att with solid DPS. and i drain about 1/3 of the time. often 4 or 5 times in a row.
@Aramina - I find Deae Gratia still being a very exceptional weapon compared to Blau Dolch. Even though the club cap is 200, farming Gigas socks in Upper Delkfutts, my SA True Strikes were almost comparable to my SA Dancing edges.
From what I noticed, my DE average was a little bit higher than TS, but my highest damage I did that day was from TS(DE 1300's~TS 1430~).
Still doing some tests though on pot damage in random places like sky, and normal-type mobs.
