Drops off Jeduah (NM) Lotter Spawn of the Lycopodium around (I-10) in West Sarutabaruta [S] every 1-2 hours. I've killed it four times with a 50% drop rate so far. NM does not agro and will not link with the other Lycopodium in the area. Solo by any job level 25 or higher. Has around 800HP~
EDIT: Next-best thing to Nadrs for BLU and THF, estimated 10-15% drop rate. Some would argue that the 1 STR would outweigh the 1 DMG, even. I found that Nadrs/Anthos was a fabulous combo for THF/NIN, though.
@ Saraodomin: I wouldn't really consider this a PLD sword, though I've tried it. If you *really* want to have the best for your PLD, Auriga Xiphos is level 19, has the same DMG, and has +2 accuracy. I used it until Centurion's at 30. The NM is a bit of a pain, but it's a 100% drop.
@Lashyon: The lycopodiae will not link with Jeduah, however, Jeduah does indeed link with them.
I suspect the drop rate has to do with how many exist, or has been ninja edited in updates since this NM came out. When the NM was brand new many peopel were getting teh drop on the 1st kill, everyone saying what a high drop rate it was. Not so now. If you look wiki's edit history you see a large portion of the drops in its % were from when the NM was new. I was 20/22 in the 1st 4 months. The next 20 have not dropped.
Allykatxi, you have been very lucky then. The drop rate on this actually rather low. Wiki has it as 11/76 so far. Personally I'm like 1/3 or 1/4 on it.
I farmed these Lycopodiums in the I-10 area for around 2hrs without a single spawn of Jeduah. Vana'diel Atlas Maps doesn't show him on their NM spawn for West Sarutabaruta. Is it possible he was removed?
Overall droprate with a 75Thf with TH3 is about 50% for me, I don't know if they changed the drop rate on Jeduah, haven't noticed it yet. Then again I don't regularly farm it, only try and get the drop when i steal Gold Coins off Gobbies and kill crawlers for silk. Usually I get the sword on the first kill, only when I come back and it pops again, I'm not lucky all the time.
GOt this for my pld thinking it had a similar dps as gladious but also had added effect . . . does not proc often enough to matter (I never noticed it) right now it's more expensive then gladious so I would just go with that.
