Just to add to what Zabimaru said...Savage Blade also had STR and MND mods, but the difference is DB damage doesn't increase with more TP like SB does, so RDMs no longer have to use a martial anelace and/or get to 200/300 TP to get respectable weaponskill numbers. DB actually does decent damage.
Temple of Uggalepih, 75 RDM, Tonberries, It never goes off when an en spell is active. I tried it with en1 and en2 spells. So I guess they changed it to not stack with the en spells.
Yes, the add effect never procs when Enspell is active. However, if you offhand Guespiere while RDM/NIN, and cast an Enspell II, the def- will work, since the Enspell II just stack with the main hand sword.
A nice solo weapon if u dont have a joytoy just yet, its no Miser but that extra mind can help land mnd based spells like para and slow. The def down procs i'd say every 1/6 and over laps Enspells when it does, did i mention cheap?
