-1STR has a 25% chance of affecting you during TP gain phase and slightly more during WS, but the extra DMG on the sword will make you do more damage overall. Yes, the delay is high, but it's not such a huge deal as people make out. Granted the +7VIT won't help a HUGE amount either, but this is still a very attractive sword for pld.
Stop panicking about the -1s as well, CHR MND INT won't affect you in the least (shouldn't worry about MND for your cure potency on pld) and DEX AGI STR in such a small negative quantity won't either. And yes, don't use RK Belt on PLD.
This is a pretty poor weapon overall. 7 VIT isn't anywhere near as good as most people think, and the DPS on it is awful compared to T.M. Espadon +1 or +2. Yes, it has higher DMG, but the slight increase in WS damage won't outweigh the lower DoT when getting TP.
I consider using this as big a no-no as using RK belt. Same premise - relatively poor stat gains, and a hefty damage output drop compared to what you could be using.
Well you don't need the R.K. Belt with the sole use of your AF you can negate all the -1 effects... well maybe except the -1 str (like we were going to do any damage XD):P Still the best sword for PLD an you will love every level you spend with it... :D
The rate downs Armando's comment has been getting are wholly undeserved. Gluttony sword is a rather poor weapon for PLD. If you're still "turtling", stacking VIT and fulltiming Defender, at 57+ then you're doing something wrong.
PLD will keep much better hate, and contribute more to the party's damage by using a TM Espadon +1/+2, a Haubergeon, and some Acc rings at the least. Stick to Life Belt on PLD, do not use RK belt. Ditch the Knightly Mantles, guys. It's 2009.
Don't listen to people who have no idea how to play their job. Gluttony is a fantastic sword for Paladin upwards of 66 when you start getting your first decent alternatives. The DPS on the sword is irrelevant; it is the best tanking sword available for this range. Paladin is still used as a blood tank until very high levels (70ish and higher) when burn parties are the only parties available, and if you know how to play your job keeping hate should NOT be a problem.
VIT+7 DMG44 Delay 295(265 w/ haste) This sword is epic. Though it will bring you joy until Macuahuitl +1 it is not mandatory for you to have it. You can skate by with other weapons such as WW Anelace or a TM Espodon. But when it comes time for Macuahuitl +1 YOU MUST GET IT

You help hold hate in parties by DEALING DAMAGE. Higher DPS weapons = more damage dealt = more hate. Since you won't be using Berserk like most other DDs in your party will be able to, the attack+12 on T.M. Espadon (+1/+2) is pretty huge. VIT is insignificant above the 50's really, you get the most damage reduction out of shield blocking.
Oh, and you have that nifty little side effect of speeding up kills and in turn exp/hour. But that's just ancillary, right?
If you are an exceptionally weak player, you should definately take advice from players so well liked SE has to FORCE others onto the world so people will play with them. Steer clear of know it alls from dying worlds. ENOUGH MALICIOUS NONSENSE ALREADY. We get it, now go away
