It's an absolute shame that RDM can't also use these.

Good for any mage job :) Fast cast, Nice stat boosts, and the MP+30 really add a lot.

However, there are better boots for most of the mage jobs.

BLM and BRD have Goliard Clogs, and WHM Cure Clogs (Granted you merit Cure Casting time). No one can knock you for not having those, though, and these boots easily make up for not having them. Macro them in before you cast spells for the "Fast Cast" effect, then switch to a second pair for better stats. Unless you need that MP+30.

Being the FFXI-hoarder that I am, after getting Augur's Gaiters I tried to think of a reason not to throw these away. After staring at them for a few minutes, I looked at the jobs and saw all mages and... pup? EUREKA! Puppetmaster Utsusemi macro piece!... If I ever level it. Muled.
