Prop, Ochain has nothing to do with magic defense... That being said, this shield isn't that bad for a magic def set. Barring Aegis, this thing looks to be second best.
If the definition of Magic Evasion is correct on the wikia, then this shield is the equivalent of having Magic Evasion +25 in all elements. That being said, this shield would beat out Seigneurs for magical defense. Whether this is true or not and can be proven would have to be to debate of hardcore PLDs.
i solo'd avatars all the time on my rdm and i noticed that after getting crimson pants and feet my magic evasion made avatars 2hr drop to 0 alot of the time. this shield is the best shield in the game for pld, aside from aegis and emp, for magic defense.
Good question Babekeke, I have often wondered why DRK gets a lot of shields and has no shield skill. I would like to have this as an option to use with maybe a MDB trial sword to kite magic casting mobs on RDM.
