I went into my Gmail to check on some mail and opened up my SE newsletter they send time to time and Avast went apeshit and said there were 3 pieces of malware attached to the email. Here's a picture.



Perhaps this is a false positive? Anyone else have a similar issue?

yes i have gotten those email by them...yes they have HTML script thing

but not sure if is dangerous...or not about that weird HTML script of theirs

I was thinking the same thing. Last thing I got I think was FFXIV related when they added more content to the website.

I aborted the connection just to play it safe. Luckily it still allowed me to read the darn thing so it didn't really affect me. However it still is puzzling as to how or why SE would have a potential virus threat lurking in their newsletter emails.
