Lossless game audio, ect
If you're an audiophile, like myself, then I figured you may enjoy the following link, in which has .flac versions of many game audio tracs!
http://www.emuparadise.org/soundtracks/highquality/index.php I tend to just youtube stuff :/
Sometimes I find great covers of video game songs Youtube audio is crap, even their HD audio doesn't code anymore than 256 kbps (and lucky if you find a youtube video with that tbh, most are way lower)
For sake of storage I tend to encode my audio in 320kbps ogg. I take flac whenever I can afford the space.
However, it has become somewhat difficult finding a decent media player that plays flac. What would be nice is if I could mod itunes (yes I own an ipod, bite me) to play flac. Yea can always downgrade from flac to 320kbps, but all in all, still much better than what else is out there for a lot of stuff, especially youtube. As for media player, Foobar will play anything. If you have an Ipod, it can play flacs as well w/ custom firmware (which doesn't even replace the orig firmware they're interchangable and both will stay on and can be swapped to whenever you like), but the firmware only supports 5.5 gen and lower.
Yeah, if I recall correctly it was called RockBox or something like that. Very cool indeed. Although I've come to like itunes, so I'll keep the hunt for a plug-in that allows it to play flac. I've already managed to make it play ogg.
But I will give foobar a try :D Is it as wonderful and lightweight as winamp? That is awesome, All of my music is .flac when I can find a version. Got a plugin for iTunes to play .flacs too ^^
