Screen always goes black, the delay has little to do with your machine & internet connection. It's caused by a delay while your machine waits for confirmation that your character is moving and for where to load you.

You'll notice increased lag times when leaving besieged for example, because of a large number of requests to the server to move characters.

Not always, it can also be due to hard drive errors and clusters. Try defragmenting your PC. Try to keep your hard drives organized, one for OS and software, one for data(music pics vids porn etc.).
Scan for any spyware, virus's in SAFE MODE.

well then it may be my hdd i've had some clicking issues going on with it lately and so i bought a brand new one to use but i haven't installed anything yet so i may just wait a bit and see what happens with my current one and my partitions are pretty organized as is.

Even though a HD might be partitioned in a way that seems organized, but a single HD is still just a single HD no matter how many times you split it up. Its often better to use 2 different hard drives for purposes such as OS/Software, and the secondary being the dump drive.

That clicking you are hearing is a sign of hard drive thrashing, which can lead to a head crash. aka death of the HD.
