Hello, everyone. Name Unavailable, currently NU2: Electric Boogaloo, has been a long-standing shell on Sylph. We currently place a heavy emphasis on endgame content, but still make time for lower-tier events and general tomfoolery. Unfortunately, the past few months have left us with the loss of quite a few members due to real life obligations. So, we decided to open up recruitment again.
Event times are Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday from 5:30 PST to 8:00 PST. Saturdays usually go a bit later as people have less time constraints on weekends. We also regularly put together lower-tier content on off-days, such as Ambuscade, Escha, or Sinister Reign.
First thing I want to say is that there are currently no gear or job requirements for joining the shell, but we do have rules for endgame content. Anybody and everybody is welcome to join as long as you're friendly and don't mind pun-based humor. We use Discord for our voice program and it is highly encouraged to join in and chat during downtime. For events, Discord is mandatory. You don't need to speak, but being able to at least listen is an irreplaceable convenience for endgame content.
In an endgame shell, certain jobs are obviously more favorable or needed for the most difficult content. Right now, for us that means BLM, BRD, COR, GEO, PLD, RUN, and SCH. Although we won't require you to already have one of these jobs just to join the shell, you will at least need to be committed to getting at least one endgame-ready. Ultimately, that means dedicating enough time and effort to understanding and gearing the role that you choose, even if it's not your passion or your favorite job.
On the flip side, when we engage in lower-tier stuff, this means that you're more than welcome to bring just about whatever you'd like. Pending future balance changes, endgame jobs may shift quite a bit, but for the time being we do need to be selective with jobs for 145+ enemies
To fulfill these requirements, we're going to go about things a bit differently than in the past. Our goal is to take any new members and help them prepare for content. We will assist in your gearing progress and try to bring everybody up to speed. I put an emphasis on "assist" because we have no plans on playing the game for you. If you are interested in preparing for endgame, you need to be self-motivated and actively engaged in your own progress. Understand that we will not hold your hand at all times, but we do want to help you out, and have experts in each job that can answer your questions.
Hopefully the stricter aspects of this post do not discourage prospective members. Our shell is quite laid-back and very friendly, but it is important to establish guidelines for the more serious aspects of the game. If you are interested in joining, feel free to respond in this thread, send me a private message through the site, or contact me in-game on Dillus. Thank you for your time.
Now that Guildwork is being much more stable, I'm going to add in our recruitment page for the shell: http://nameunavailable.guildwork.com/recruitment
This is really just more of a formality than anything else. We just want to get an idea of who you are far more than your current jobs. Just talk about what you're interested in doing and playing and we're all set.
