Announcing the August Version Update
Greetings once more, adventurers. Matsui here with a rundown on the next version update, which is scheduled to go live on Wednesday, August 3.

As you have come to expect, Ambuscade will be getting new foes to tackle and rewards to obtain, so make sure to spend your hallmarks and badges of gallantry before the update launches.

Another major addition is the continuation of the Ygnas Directive questline, which made its first appearance in June. This latest installment features the incorrigible Roskin, whose thirst for knowledge and women remains unquenchable.

Adjustments will also be made to both high-level monsters' evasion rates and damage taken by monster area-of-effect attacks.

Other changes include various job-related adjustment, addition of mount compatibility to several areas, alter ego adjustments, and the addition of detailed help text to yet more food and drink items.

A more detailed list of items to be implemented may be found below. As always, some of these items may be delayed due to ongoing testing.

It's pretty much confirmed to be Optic Fiber II and Damage Gauge II

The automaton already knows cursna, it just either doesn't cast it when doomed or its very low priority.

Ah that explains it. Glad to know it exists and just needs to be tweaked at least

I'd personally love this new DMG Gauge II to be an all-in-one and unlock -ga cures, but knowing the mentality of SE it's a separate attachment or nothing at all. I mean they have how many stoneskin attachments now, when maton should just be able to plop on the most effective (since skill should be maxed by now anyways) iteration. I know it's more for non-mage frame mostly but still. Glad to see more attachments, personally would prefer them still add 2 job abilities one telling maton to close in on target and the other to move at max casting/shooting distance since fight dynamics in some cases makes running around deploying and disengaging stupid.

I think (And I could be wrong as I am not Matsui) that level sync was in mind in regards to keeping ineffective lower tier attachments to cater for lower allotment values. Amusingly though there is a glitch with this. You can't walk into for example "Up In Arms" and call a full JP attachment automaton but you can outside the area beforehand and bring it in to destroy the thing in a couple of minutes. Your distancing ability idea would be sweet though :)

Damage Gauge II
Functionality: Enables the use of "Curaga" spells.

Hidden functionality, resets the universal recast timer of "Cure" spells when more than one party member is at the HP % threshold that would normally trigger a "Cure". That would be seriously gangster.
