Win7 FFXI (POL) Crash On Macro Palette Change 1>10

Well apparently Skjalf had not updated some Windows things for a while (a month+?)... everything was working fine after last FFXI Version Update and the maintenance that we had on the 11th(?)

Then today, made the mistake to install Windows Updates and now FFXI (PlayOnline Viewer) crashes every time Skjalf goes up from [Ctrl (L1)] macro palette from 1 to 10. It doesn't matter which zone Skjalf is in, nor how longer have been in current zone for. Will happen even after all inventory items have loaded and after being in a zone for a long time. It happens every time.

Windows 7 64bit Ultimate
Can recreate issue every time.
Will happen in both raw FFXI/PlayOnline Viewer as well as Windower 4.

Tried removing the updates that were installed last and rebooted a few times and the problem still exists.
Have an idea that it may be the wireless XBOX 360 controller conflicting with a recent Windows Security Update or MS .NET Framework patch.

Apparently other people may be having the same issue.



No system restore point... -_-
Really don't want to reinstall Windows again...
Any suggestions?

Loaded old macro settings and tried them and didn't crash this time. So must have been a corrupted macro settings file on server.
