Vagary 'additional Reward' Campaign

Current Vagary campaign (http://www.playonline.com/pcd/topics/ff11us/detail/14205/detail.html) indicates you'll get 'an additional reward' when you turn in the five KI's. I turned in mine, picked the random 'whatever the master deems' option, and wound up getting two different random items (codex of etchings and plovid flesh, woo). Not sure if picking one of the other two options (to get a specific equipment or material) would give you a second pick of the same category, or if you get the chosen item and a second random drop. (I assume it just gives you a second, random drop on top of whatever you pick, regardless of category)

Selected Defiant Sweat and got a codex of etchings as a bonus. I'm guessing the second item is automatically random?

So apparently the platemail does drop with random. 2 people have gotten from random so far.

someone in my shell got Platemail from Random about a week prior to this event. sadly, that is only the 2nd set we have seen as we only ever got one in Treasure Pool despite god knows how many Plouton kills.

And this was from one LS as we completed our KI sets yesterday. What did I get? Defiant Scarf and Etched Memory.

It's ok, it's not like I went 0/100+ or whatever it was on D Ring.

The platemail does drop and it is random. A ls member picked defiant sweat as an item and got the platemail as the 2nd item for a random. I picked the same option to get the defiant sweat and got a plovid flesh as the 2nd random item.

Your LS mate could just quit right now and have won FFXI.
