With the 1200 gift can blu now attain dw 6 and mab 6 trait?
DW6 probably not, but setting all of the spells does give an abnormal amount of DW (1-2% more than you should be getting).

Yeah- when I originally posted that I didn't even consider the possibility of such a low bonus (simplified method I used was only capable of always detecting amounts equal or greater to ~5%).
As everybody has mentioned, we do not get DW6. However, there seems to be some issue with how SE added DW to BLU, as we get approximately 2% additional DW from setting all spells. Most likely just problems with SE's coding, as every other trait we get (that has been tested so far) does not break previously established caps.
If we have 10/15/25/30/35/37% DW tiers, how is the 37% not T6?
It makes sense that's where DW would stop, any higher and you'd be overcapping with full magic haste. There are just inconsistencies in this one trait when compared to others. We are unable to break the previously established cap on any other trait, so if they really did make this one unique, it's just odd. Also, it just doesn't make sense for all other tiers of DW to be in intervals of 5 and for the final tier to add a very odd amount (not even certain on a precise number).
I suppose it's possible that it was intentional, but it seems very unlikely and goes against the norm of all of our other traits. For attack/acc/etc bonus we are capped at tier 4/5/6 depending on gifts, we would need another level of job trait bonus to say blu doesn't go past the caps of other jobs. The only exception I can see is counter, and I doubt anyone has ever tested it to make sure it doesn't go past that of mnk. Yes it does. Like I said in my previous post, 36-37% DW is the exact amount needed to floor delay with capped magic haste. Not that setting anything above DW3 is a particularly good idea if you have basic gears, but it makes plenty of sense for the numbers to stop there. With JTB2, we are not able to go past attack bonus 6, even though we have the spells necessary for 7. With JTB2, we are not able to go past MAB 6, even though we have the spells necessary for 8. So, it doesn't make sense to me to have us go past DW5, even with JTB2 when we can't on other traits. That's what I meant by being unable to break previously established caps.
And yes, from a delay standpoint, it would make sense, I agree. I just wouldn't see SE changing the values like that. As I said, it's entirely possible, it just goes against the norm. And without JTB2/JTB1, you can't go past attack bonus 5/4, magic attack bonus 5/4, etc, so I'm not sure what your point is. We wouldn't have access to t7 traits regardless of parity with other jobs without another JTB level.
So somewhat relevant to this topic, JTB2 is currently broken with auto-refresh and is giving 3/tick, a trait level that shouldn't even exist.

shhhhhhhh
I only checked it because SE has it as a known issue lol. Even at 3/tick it doesn't seem too useful nowadays thou.

It'd be useful for nuking when you aren't surrounded by elementals.
Even when I'm dedicated nuking without using magic hammer in sinster reign/escha NMs/etc. I'm usually not running out of MP before everything dies, idk.

ok, quick math check
to reach capped delay reduction using only haste2/erratic flutter (30% haste) 1024 * .2 = 205 delay target haste from gear 256/1024 erratic flutter 300/1024 (?) 468/1024 delay 205/468 = 57% dw DW from spells 37$ so, 20% dw from gear is needed to cap delay reduction using only erratic flutter? |
