[dev1239] Job Adjustments

Beastmaster
New familiars summonable with the Call Beast command will be added.

Redolent Candi (Plantoid/Snapweed)
Blackbeard Randy (Beast/Tiger)
Threestar Lynn (Vermin/Ladybug)
Headsmasher Ken (Vermin/Fly)

A new job ability, Beastial Loyalty, will be added.
Bestial Loyalty (BST Lv.23, Recast time: 20 min.)
Summons a beast without consuming the contents of the jug.

The job ability Ready will undergo the following adjustments.
Familiars will be able to use special abilities if they have enough charge regardless of whether or not their TP is over 1,000.
* This adjustment affects only those special abilities whose effects were dependent on TP values.

Job updates

The return of our DPS machine and TH/Evasion pet.

Beastial Loyalty seems like a nice convenience skill. Makes having the crafted ilvl 119 pets worth carrying around.

Not sure what to make of Ready adjustments. Seems like they reversed how it should have been where charges should have been eliminated and skill activation rely on getting TP. I can see some use out of it where your pet's accuracy is poor but seems like a missed opportunity.

I will probably switch from Shizuna to 119 tiger for Dynamis, since kill speed rules over all there, though I'll miss AoE sleep.

Agreed on Ready adjustments. S-E doesn't seem to understand what we really need.

They're probably afraid of us culling up 20-30 trash mobs with our pet and having a way to constantly fire off our ready moves. There's ways to abuse the system if they get rid of charges, so I can understand why they won't remove it. It's just that none of our ready moves are really that strong to begin with.

Took some time to think on the ready changes and come to the conclusion that it isn't as bad as previously thought. This is definitely a buff. We'll be able to do things like molting plummage > molting plummage > molting plummage > leave > call beast > molting plummage x 3 etc if your call beast is up. Sort of like a mini unleash without using it. It will have it's uses in BC's, not so much in normal grinding though.

EDIT: just remembered charge cooldown is carried over to next summoned pet zzz. 3 ready moves to start off a fight is still nice though.

EDIT 2: Unleash resets your charges so you can do 3 ready moves > unleash spam > another 3 ready moves after unleash ends. This buff is pretty much a 20 second extension of unleash.

We have a really good one in Killer instinct but it's attached to the monster correlation system that doesn't work on anything worthwhile. They just need to get rid that stipulation and have killer instinct work just as a straight buff and I'd be happy.

Threestar Lynn has 858 evasion at ilvl 119. Stacking PET: evasion gear I was able to get her up to 923 evasion with using a non ilvl offhand or 901 using an ilvl offhand.

Isa belt: 10 evasion
Ankusa gaiters +1: 18 evasion
Emxgha: 15 evasion
Astolfo: 22 evasion

For comparison, when I do pup solo's on VE/E, my evasion set has around 950 evasion.

Threestar lynn, Blackbeard Randy and Headbreaker ken are purchasable from Theraisie in Upper Jeuno.

I'm guessing the snapweed Redolent Candi is the craftable one. Notes say recipe for Electrified Broth is Snapweed Secretion, Gnat Wing, Ladybug Wing, Panopt Tear.

Droopy Dortwin (natural cap 103)

Healing Salve I - 2750 HP healed using Call Beast AF2 hands
Healing Salve I - 2750 HP healed using Bestial Loyalty AF2 hands

Attentive Ibuki (natural cap 109)

Healing Salve I - 2754 HP healed using Call Beast AF2 hands
Healing Salve I - 2754 HP healed using Bestial Loyalty AF2 hands

Forgot Ibuki's natural cap was 109 so testing her was pointless since I have capped affinity merits. But it looks like Call beast and bestial loyalty can be used interchangeably.

so is there really any reason to use relic hands for pets 109+ assuming you have 5/5 beast affinity merits? since the pet's level cant exceed master's ilevel

You're right. For pets that naturally cap at 109+, with 5/5 Beast Affinity, the gloves make no difference.

Warblade beak. It is easy to check that out, if you ask a unity npc for the mats to upgrade the earrings.

Decided to find out what the familiar effect job point category actually does. Recorded pet stats with /checkparam <pet>. I put in 1/10 into the category a long time ago so never got the info for the baseline. Familiar only increased your pet's hp anyways so stats would be the same as the pet without familiar on.

Only gear equipped was ilvl 119 Guttler. Pet used was Generous Arthur.
Code
No familiar

Primary Accuracy - 867
Primary Attack - 624
Evasion - 698
Defense - 986

Healing salve I - 2430
HP - 4860

0/10 Familiar Effect
Did not record info

1/10 Familiar Effect

Primary Accuracy - 868
Primary Attack - 626
Evasion - 700
Defense - 989

Healing salve I - 2607
HP - 5214

2/10 Familiar Effect

Primary Accuracy - 870
Primary Attack - 627
Evasion - 701
Defense - 990

Healing salve I - 2673
HP - 5346

3/10 Familiar Effect

Primary Accuracy - 871
Primary Attack - 628
Evasion - 703
Defense - 993

Healing salve I - 2673
HP - 5346

4/10 Familiar Effect

Primary Accuracy - 873
Primary Attack - 629
Evasion - 704
Defense - 994

Healing salve I - 2673
HP - 5346

5/10 Familiar Effect

Primary Accuracy - 874
Primary Attack - 631
Evasion - 706
Defense - 997

Healing salve I - 2673
HP - 5346

So looking at the data you can see all attributes go up. Tooltip says it's increasing all attributes by 3. So lets assume it's 3 str, 3 dex, 3 agi and 3 vit. Let's look at accuracy first. 3 DEX = 1.5 ACC

0/10 - 867
1/10 - 868
2/10 - 870
3/10 - 871
4/10 - 873
5/10 - 874

You can see it increases pet accuracy 1.5 each level. checkparam only shows full numbers though. So it really should look like

0/10 - 867
1/10 - 868.5
2/10 - 870
3/10 - 871.5
4/10 - 873
5/10 - 874.5

Evasion shows the same story. Bolded is what is shown in checkparam. 3 AGI = 1.5 evasion. Had to assume original number was not a full number.

0/10 - 698.5
1/10 - 700
2/10 - 701.5
3/10 - 703
4/10 - 704.5
5/10 - 706

ACC and EVA were the easy confirmable stats. ATK and DEF were a lot more confusing to sort out. It looks like ATK and DEF are effected by a pet's ATK ADJ modifier and DEF ADJ modifier. Generous Arthur has -20% atk mod and a +30% def mod. (Falkirk data)

I had to make a few assumptions on the starting numbers to make the numbers fit. It's a bit harder to do because the ADJ % can make the number pretty much anything unlike EVA and ACC where it can be a whole number or .5.

3 STR = 1.3 ATK (ATK MOD -20% for generous arther). Bolded is what is shown in checkparam.

0/10 - 624.7
1/10 - 626
2/10 - 627.3
3/10 - 628.6
4/10 - 629.9
5/10 - 631.2

Numbers are consistent with the atk mod %.

3 VIT = 1.95 DEF (DEF MOD +30% for generous arther).

0/10 - 986
1/10 - 989
2/10 - 990
3/10 - 993
4/10 - 994
5/10 - 997

Unfortunately I was not able to reconcile the DEF numbers. It's close but doesn't work unless I round the numbers up. So I may have done something incorrect somewhere down the line. Maybe incorrect recording or the 0/10 familiar actually does something for DEF.

I still have 5 job points to go in this category so I will do a different pet for the remainder to see if everything is consistent and if i can get the DEF to work out.

TLDR;

- Familiar effect raises str, dex, agi, vit and probably mnd, int chr by 3
- It is affected by atk and def% modifiers
- HP is still only 10% increase

Nice testing, thanks for the info. :)

I've experienced the same weirdness with DEF rounding. Perhaps BrainyWaluis or HeadbreakerKen would be less headache-inducing for next time, haha.

Ya generous arthur was probably the worst pet to use for the test. His auto-regen ruined one of my hp samples early on. I was alt tabbing and inputting some data then used a healing salve while his hp ticked above 50% and didn't notice. For a few hours I thought the job point was going to raise HP% by a substantial amount. I was pretty sad when I caught on what happened.

Pretty big update comming for us. All of our WS are getting buffed except our elemental ws (primal rend and cloudsplitter). The accuracy buff looks nice but it seems it only applies to the mainhand and not offhand. I could be wrong, the wording seems odd. Not sure about the food thing since they already introduced shiromochi a few patches back. Looking forward to see what they do with ruinator and onslaught.

So if you have chaac belt no point in using the new lady bug pet for TH1? Th is applied as soon as the mob has enmity so any action while wearing chaac belt will already put TH 1 on it if I am correct. So if Lynn really is only TH1 then anyone with a Chaac belt doesn't really benefit?

Spent 20 minutes whacking on toads and pugils in marjami ravine using Ruiniator and Onslaught. Ruinator buff is mild but Onslaught is significantly stronger and might be on par or stronger than ruinator.
