I have no desire to have a puppy. Goddamn cat person.
I had dogs/puppies growing up, and loved them, but cats are so much lower maintenance. Dogs are a lot more work just from a planning perspective - can't go out of town, even a long day out of the house requires some forethought. A cat, though? "What the *** ever, humans, I didn't want you around anyway".
This is the pragmatic reason I don't have a dog right now despite really wanting one. A dog may as well be a child as far as I'm concerned. I wouldn't be one of those grating "dog parents" you see around, but a dog or a child, regardless, is another life I'm responsible for and I'm simply not prepared for that commitment right now. Man's best friend deserves the attention of a best friend, and I can't give that right now. You better *** adopt when you do!

Is it just me or animals that you have to keep in a cage all the time seem less like pets and more like decorations...
I always thought of the whole pet thing as a level of companionship... Something you interact with on a regular basis as opposed to feeding it once in awhile and then looking at it through glass...

Very well may end up doing a rescue dog, too. As much as I was raised with purebreds, and the idea of knowing exactly what I'm getting from the start is appealing, there are too many puppies out there that need safe, happy homes.

I have a very huge issue with separation. Ever since I was a child and I only had to say goodbye to dad for 5 days until the next time I'd be with him.
I can't let go of friends.
I can't even let go of enemies.
Sometimes I can't let go of material things too, but that's probably greed.
I don't think I have the emotional stability to get through the loss of someone I raised.
you should work on this.
I'd start by getting a new boyfriend every monday, then dumping them every friday until it doesn't bother you anymore. check back in with your progress in two months.

It would depend on what the "animal/pet" is used for. It is incredible how some people forget that animals are first and foremost beasts of burden. Every single animal/pet can be bred and sold for some purpose.
A dog or cat is no different than a horse or cow in this aspect, they have been bred to a specific style to fit the niche that people are willing to pay for.
Take into account that a lot of people consider their pet to be a prize that is to be shown off rather than used as a companion, mix that with healthy portions of stupid and *** and you get some bad conditions for animals.
The opposite of coarse also exists, people that do not care what their pet looks like and treat it like one of the family.

They come into human spaces, their lives are forfeit.
Now obviously, arachnids cannot reason on a human level, but I figure in a year or two, their grandspiders having experience this, it will be embedded into the genetic memory of the spiders of my house and they'll know that as long as they stay out of the humans vision, they can safely munch all the less desirable bugs and live as long as they're able.

Since we all can't be on the same linkshell in game, this can be our cross server linkshell thread.
Like most linkshells, it can be pretty dead at times. Other times it's full of intense conversations about either rl, gear, goals, pokemon or anything else you want to contribute.
We can cover any sort of topic at all, within reason of the forum rules. No real main topic, just a bunch of FFXIAH friends/people coming on and discussing random things.

Kungfu is the LS nutjob, spouting super random things that are usually sexist, until Savvy or Alyria comes into the room. Then he's a classic case of sexual harrassment. Rumaha is also true to the second part; we're wondering about his sexuality though.
Daj is Ludoggy's gay lover. Not much else is known about this Asuran. Tairo is kinda new, but since is a female and Alyria's lesbian lover, she fit right in real quick.
Celene(F) and Rowland(M) are more of the shyer members, but often say things that are witty, have a good pun and sometimes cause three page discussions. Celene hates when people hit on her. It doesn't stop them from trying.
Krizz is just social and likes to kill time here during work Tbest is about the same, except tends to be a douche to guys and affectionate toward girls.
Alyria is the most social female, gets groped a lot without provoking it by others, and Tairo ends up stabbing people for it. Cai is just a barrel of lols, I might be gay for him. If I wasn't straight.
Not sure about Citag, s/he's new. Kiriyu is just an in-out kinda person. Says one thing every three days that every guy makes a big fuss over. Ludoggy gets really defensive since she's asian and underage (might be 18 now).
Artem is the wayward soul that makes you ponder the meaning of life by constantly reminding us life can suck. But he deals, and so do we. About the same for Savannah, except people are more "AWH!" to her because of a vagina involved.
Dasva is the ex military man (as is Krizz but this doesn't apply to him) who hates the world and plots a way to destroy most of it.
Number2 is kinda like a mix between Cai and I; never bashes, likes to laugh and has odd avatars. His current suits a lot of the convos this LS gets into. Barti is most well known for his moustache. He gives mousatche rides for a fee. I'm missing a few people but whatever. CARRY ON!
