I finally managed to get my fire aura to "overwhelming" level. Now to continue levelling Goldsmithing 60+! My question is: In order for the moghancement to have an effect on my crafts (as I will be trying to break synth a lot), Do I have to craft in the mh or is anywhere fine?

Anywhere is fine. Any Moghancements you have are effective throughout Vanadiel as far as I know (I've never looked too much into it though).
